Are these suitable for vegans?

Yes they are marked as "VEGAN"on the package. They are just superb. I know this candy since I was a small boy till now at 71years and love them so much.

Does this have gelatine?

The third ingredient on the roll package is gelatin. I assume the ingredients are the same for the packaging in this picture. They are delicious, but if you have a food allergy, gelatin is in it. S.

Is the gelatin animal based?

According to Rowntree, they use beef gelatin in Fruit Gums and Fruit Pastilles. Hope this helps.

Delicious - but not pastilles

These candies are delicious however they are not pastilles. These are tasty candies, sweet and delicious, but do not last on the pallette like I wanted. I enjoy something to chew when studying and need it to last longer. I did not want hard candy nor soft cheeses. I deliberately sought out pastilles and for this reason was disappointed.

Gotta Love English Toffees
