The Big Axe: World Axe Throwing League Premium Competition Throwing Axe & Multi-Purpose Camping Axe or Wood Splitting Axe with Hickory Wooden Handle

This WATL Axe is great for beginners and throwers that specifically use one hand to throw Big Axe. I am an avid thrower and what made me get it is the low price. Its light and easy to throw, perfect for someone that is just getting started with Big Axe. For more experienced throwers it does not meet the coverage maximum for Big Axe of 4" 5/8" this is closer to almost 4" blade so you will loose some length of the blade. However the ease of throwing this makes this axe a great beginner axe. I did end up rehanging the head on a different handle and cutting it down to minimum length of 23" where the straight handle comes at 28". Overall the axe is usable right out of the box and easy to work with if you want to change out the handle.

A friend and I bought a few of these axes. Don’t expect the handle to hold up to too much abuse. Would not recommend for a new big axe thrower. Friend who was new, snapped his handle. If you are experienced, it’s a cheap big axe. You definitely get what you pay for.

This thing is a monster!!It held up against some brutal punishment over the 4th of July. This thing was thrown by a bunch of people that didn’t really know how to throw, so it was all over the place, taking a beating.Still all in tact and ready to go for the next gathering.

My first big axe and I don’t regret buying it at all. My picture shows just my cosmetic changes. Didn’t have to do anything as this axe is throw ready! Don’t hesitate to get it!

looks like the white paint/powder coating went on poor and they used a brush to fix it. I'm skeptical that this is a real WATL axe as the quality is so poor. paint was also on the handle

Love my WATL big axe! Throws super easy and digs into the target well.
