Musher's Secret

we live in hawaii, and my dog walks on hot concrete all the time. musher's secret keeps her paws from cracking by softening them and keeping them flexible. i wax her paws about once a week, i do not want them to get very soft, as we hike in forests, on mountains, along streams, and do long city walks many times a week. this wax is easy and fast to apply to her paws before she goes to bed. do not apply before any activity because the wax will get all over the place. if you live where there is snow, this product was intended to harden and provide a barrier against ice and salt if applied before you take your dog out. we generally do not have snow here, so idk too much about that usage.

My dog is fat. He likes to jump off the deck and his pads split. I live in Atlanta, GA not much snow here, however this product is like magic. My dog has smooth but tougher paws after using it for two days. I put it on his feet while he is lounging on the couch, and it has made a 100% improvement on his once painful feet. This larger can will last a long time. If your dog has split pads or rough painful pads this product is all you will ever need.

The product was as I expected but it was not in a can as shown.I was disappointed in the plastic tub. The picture should be corrected!

My dog usually doesn't like having his feet touched but needed something to keep the snow and slush from cracking his feet. Surprisingly, he loved it! Really enjoyed the way it felt because he acted like he was getting a massage and didn't try to pull his feet away. I recommend it for any dog who spends time out in the elements.

Product very good but it useto be in the metal can. They show the photo of the medal can & send u this flimsy plastic container that falls apart. Why dont they photograph the plastic container its in very didappointing. Consumers today r educated & not stupid. Wish they would stop insulting our intelligence!!!!

Used for first time hunting in thick prairie grass and cattails with snow. Worked on their feet and kept their noses from wear and tear loosing hair. With very prompt shipping.

I first ordered Musher's Secret to help with some burning and cracking on my dog's paws. I take her cycling every evening. With the heat wave this summer the hot pavement and long runs were causing dry paws and cracks to form. The first few days I was extremely liberal with use and now use it about once a week. The first thing I noticed was the scent. Musher's Secret has a lemony smell. It appears quite firm in the can as well but once you work the wax a little it becomes very liquid. On the carpet there was some spots that looked like wet spots after the initial application. No staining however as they cleaned right up. A little goes a long ways. You don't need too much and the 1lb tub that I ordered I expect to last almost a year or more of weekly use. After the first week I noticed my dog's paws were nice and soft like they were when she was a puppy again. I could still smell the product a week later on her paws. I do wish there was more of an ingredient listing. My dog has some allergies and there is no information on just what is in this secret. The information provided is that it is all natural and edible. I am unable to tell if it is this product that has increased the allergies or the seasonal changes are the culprit. I don't want to discontinue use to test as it is doing wonders on her paws themselves. The weather itself has not gotten cold enough yet to say how this product works on snow, salt and ice yet.

We have had a few opportunities to use this product on our border collie lab cross. We give the product a 5/5. It does what it's supposed to do. We apply it outside and she can run around for about 30 min in belly-high snow until we need to reapply. Be prepared to use lots of this stuff though! We fill her paws in completely and put lots between her toes. It is -30 here and there is no way I would take her for a walk without it. The product loses a star for its price. It's a fraction of the cost from amazon.com but they won't ship to Canada. Since it is so cold here for most of the year, I had no choice but to pay the much higher price. Also, I got it on my coat and it didn't stain, I was amazed! Just make sure to wipe their toes before they come in and take off any snow.

I have a 2 year old golden doodle who loves the snow. However, every time she came in from a lenghty play outdoors, her paws were spred open from the accumulation of ice between the pads of her paws. I had to make her wait on the mat at the door until the ice softenened in order to remove it. Today, we have fresh powder outside and the temperature is at -15 ºC. I applied Musher's secret between the pads of her paws and we went for a 2 km walk in the woods. When we came in, there was NO ice what so ever between her pads. I highly recommend this Canadian made product.

it works for 15 minutes and it helps but snow still sticks to feet and builds up as ice between toes.

There is nothing to dislike in this product. It healed cracks in my dogs' feet within days. My hands also benefitted so much that I've started using it as a part of my own skin care routine.
