This is a great book for beginners
This book teaches you play songs within an octave and half. This is a great book for beginners. I have tried about 30 books on learning to play the piano and this is the only book that I have been able to make progress, slow progress but progress nevertheless. The other 30 books or so that I have purchased over time has stifled my progress. However, I found the CD to be a bit difficult to follow. But you can learn without the CD. I believe once that I have gone through the whole book and learned the notes without hesitation, that the CD will come in handy then, but not before. I even purchased the second book in anticipation of soon finishing the first. Practice, practice, and more practice is the key!

Love this book
Love this book!I am a beginner, I have been loving piano for years. and finally, I started to learn with my son last year. We have a great piano teacher, and she re recommend this adult book to me. So far I just done with the book 1 and I started this book 2 today.I know learning piano is a long way to go. but I am happy I finally started it. My 5 year old son is doing very well too, to keep up with him is a big motivation for me to practice harder. It's going to be so much fun to learn together! (except sometimes a little pain, lol, you know what I am talking about if you have a young kids who is learning piano)

"Once more into the breach"
The format, the quality of paper, the clarity of font and illustrations all invite the reader to spend time with this book.. The content for me was just right. I have had plenty of musical experience, but not with piano.. I knew the names of the keys, the notes on the treble clef and how to count, which is quite a bit from the point of view of a beginning student. The book was perfect for me, returning to piano 40 years after my last lesson.

Excellent Collection for Adult Beginner on Piano
A very good collection of songs along with theory and technique suggestions for the adult beginner. This is one of the core books that adults taking piano lessons for the first time, or catching up after a long break can use to get back up to speed.

Adult Piano Method, Bk2
Takes up where Book 1 leaves off, as you would expect. Generally good, particularly with the online resource of audio of pieces from the book. At times it misses an explanatory point or two, particularly with reference to how to key pieces (not a problem if working with a teacher, but can be when working alone during the pandemic).

This manual is being used by the adult continuing education ...
This manual is being used by the adult continuing education department at The University Of Oklahoma and to me it is more than adequate. All students seem to be picking up there ability rapidly.

Excelente livro
Este método de piano é o que eu mais gosto de utilizar. As lições são progressivas e muito interessantes. Traz diferentes tipos de lições, com repertório, técnica, teoria e improvisação combinados de forma a estimular o aluno.

The best adult teaching method around
The Hal Leonard Adult Piano Method has everything that a teacher and pupil needs. The explanations are very easy to follow, but not over-simplified. The teaching material is excellent, with pieces that are both fun and beautiful, with stimulating duet parts for the teacher. The pupil is taught to play well before actually learning to read music, which is how we all learn language in early childhood - eras first and eyes second. The pace of moving forward is just right; this book would be very hard to beat.
