DEKO 400W 1/2HP Sump Pump 1981GPH Submersible Pump Clean/Dirty Water Pump Swimming Pool Garden Tub Pond Flood Drain w/Float Switch and Long 16ft Cable

I bought this pump in Dec of 2020 and used it everyday for 3 1/2 years with absolutely no problems works every time. Well worth the price.

I pumped 1000 gallons of water from my pool with this unit. You plug it in and drop it to the bottom. The flow rate was far less than the 2,000 gal/hr advertised, but that was due to me using a 50-foot garden hose extension, which greatly restricts the flow. To get close to the advertised rate, you will need a wider and shorter hose. I know this bc if you completely remove the hose, the unit will shoot a 2-3 inch column of water eight to ten feet straight up. The float is tricky but protects the unit from running dry (automatic turn-off). Another issue is the unit draws water from the bottom but is designed with a three-inch platform on the bottom. That means the unit can not pump up the last four inches or so of water from the pool or whatever you are pumping from. The professional-grade pool pumps will go down to 1-2 inches. That additional two inches can be a lot of water in some circumstances. For example, if you are pumping water from an 800 sf flooded basement, two inches can be about 1,000 gallons of water. On the other hand, in other cases, the last few inches are not essential. Verdict: the unit seems to be a good value. However, time will tell, as there were some reports of the pump not working after a few months. In that case, the rating goes down to one or two, as value is the main reason to buy this. I will report back if mine stops working.

Only negative is the float. It does not turn on until the water level is very much over the top of the pump, nearly at the top of the sump well. Then it runs until only partially empty. It works fine, but I find now that I prefer the older "float" type switch which is adjustable and turns on at about 75% of the well's capacity.

Poor quality , stop working after just 30 mins

I just used today to drain a 13,000 gallon pool and it made me wonder when I had gotten it, which got me looking back on my past orders. I thought highly enough of this pump to write a review after long term use. I've had this pump for the last 4 years. Using occasionally, but urgently for many consecutive hours at a time. This thing has never let me down or even had the slightest issue. Great power,100% consistent, and easy hose attachment. As easy as it could possibly get to use and I'd say great quality. For the money, this can't be beat.

Works great and the pressure that it has its great for a above ground pool

I am using this as a return flow for my hydroponic system. It is very difficult to get it to turn off and on at the right time. I bought three of these pumps. One almost never shuts off unless you shake the bobber which I’m never around to do. The other one floods constantly. If you tie the arm to the bobber down you can make it turn on earlier but it is a difficult calibration and for some reason as I said one of them just won’t shut off.

Great little pump. It does not remove as much water as I'd like and you need a few inches for it to start suction, but if you have a pool to drain or your basement has standing water in it, this little guy will work. You do have all the connection to mount a garden hose to it, but flow rates will be reduced. If you're looking to move a lot of water very quickly, you will want to purchase the largest diameter hose you can get that fits the pump.

Used a friends similar pump during recent flood. Worked fantastic, ran non stop 3 days straight.

Purchase a second one couple of days after but did not get 25$ coupon discount on th pomp , now im running around to try and get it

Good pump

Over this past winter I had setup a rink for the kids and with it being so big and us running on a well I wanted to take advantage of a stream behind the house.I was running this pump between 10-16hrs at a time depending on the day. I had done this multiple times. I had attached 200' of regular garden hose up a slight hill. I would only turn it off for short periods as the hose would freeze pretty quick but when the pump was running there were no issues. It just keep pumping without issue.I would certainly recommend this pump. It just works!
