Good, simple multitool for a keychain
Overall a 4.5-star product. This is a simple but very functional multitool, which fits perfectly on a keychain. Having tried Nite-Ize’s other design, I have come to prefer this one (though it loses the small ruler). The clip opening is reasonably large, so easy to hook onto a belt loop or the like. It’s well made and sufficiently think, so no concerns on bending it or long-term strength.A dedicated keyring attachment loop would’ve been nice, rather than needing to click it into the main clip, but this allows easy removal when needed, so not a big deal.Just - minor comment: after a year and a half, the black coating has started to come off. Not too bad yet, but just starting to show some age.

Everyone needs this
This is a handy tool to keep on your keychain. I use mine all the time. This was a replacement because I lent my old one to someone and I left the job site while he was out to lunch. It was inexpensive and handy enough that I felt good about blessing him with it. I will pick up a few more to give away instead of lending them.

not bad, has uses
3.5 starts. not so great as a bottle opener. Good as a box opener, mini pry tool, etc. Its primary function now is to act as a carabiner for some keys i need to clip on and off of my keychain. I bought a Gerber Dime Travel for most of the purposes I would use this thing for. I did recently cut fishing line with this very quickly and was glad to have it. If you have to have a small, flat tool, do it. It's not bad and I have no quality issues. I feel like gerber and leatherman make very small tools that are more useful though

They work
Great product. I’ve had several. End up giving them away to someone. Been buying them for years. Never had a problem with any of them. Great for opening boxes in a knife free environment.

Apples to Oranges
I happened to of had the original doohickey since its Inception on indigogo. And I loved it. When I seen the upgrade on Amazon I had to get it. Glad I did, its a great addition for my keychain. However unlike the original the top part is thin and has clamp on it to stap on and off your keychain instantly. Which can be good/bad relationship. The original had a thick head and it was really easy to get ahold of it. This one does not. However unlike the original the it has a much more sharper edge great for bigger boxes and other things. So if I had to choose. Both have their plus and minuses. Looking for good edge that has a good grip go for the original. If you need a tool that has a even sharper edge and easier to remove from your keychain then this tool is for you.

A real blessing for those of us with weak fingernails
I have been a fan of the Nite Ize Doohickey ever since they came out. I love having something that fits neatly on my key chain that can be used to scratch/scrape/pry things that normal people use their fingernails for that I, as someone with weak nails, can't do without a tool. This particular model Doohickey clips easily on and off my key chain and has sharper edged than the original Doohickey does, so it does a better job opening packages, scraping stickers, and prying under edges. It functions as a decent screw driver as well, both for flat heads and Philips head screws of average size. It isn't as good a screw driver as my Swiss army knife, but it's often good enough and I can whip it out 10x as fast.

Not just a tool, but a defense tool
I love my tool!!!! It’s small and light enough to leave on my keychain without worrying if it’ll wear on my ignition switch. The tool is sturdy and I even hold it between my fingers while walking to/from my car to use as a defense tool if needed. The practicality and multi use is definitely worth the money. I’m thinking of gifting this to friends and family.

Too thick, and too thin
I wanted it for attaching mounting plates to my camera. But the clip is too thick to fit the slot and the flat screwdriver is too small. Useful maybe for cutting paracord or opening bottles?
