Florida Sun Kefir Water Kefir Grains (Tibicos) Natural Probiotics

I have run these through 3 batches before using them for the first time, as suggested in the directions. The kefir grains rehydrated nicely the first batch, and more than tripled in volume by the third batch. I am glad that I did a few preliminary test batches before doing a real batch, because the first batch, they rehydrated, but there was very little taste other than sugar. Had I used that first mixture for a second ferment, I would have been very disappointed! The grains need at least 3 batches of following the rehydration cycle mentioned to be healthy enough to produce good, delicious kefir! Don’t skip that part, or you might not have good results with your first and second batches. My third batch is now on the second ferment, and it has been 24 hours. I tasted it just to see if it is coming along, and the flavor is delicious! I like mine super fizzy with a little note of alcohol, so will drink it in another 3-4 days. So happy with this purchase!

I should've trusted the many negative reviews for this particular item. I had purchased ASIN: B010PBELYY in the past and it turned out great, but for some reason the quality has gone down hill. As soon I re hydrated I knew something was wrong. The grains were very small to begin with. The first batch I bought a while back began to ferment immediately, even while re hydrating. I followed the instruction to a "T" and it has been 5 days and it never fermented. I am not new to this, so it's not like it's rocket science to get the grains started and continue to ferment. Also, I wrote the company an email before leaving this negative review. I like to give a company the benefit of the doubt, but I guess it's not that important to them. If you're thinking of buying this product, don't! If you do decide on buying this particular item, good luck, but you were warned.

I have been wanted to try making water Kefir after I saw my friend make some. I did some research before hand, which was helpful. However, the package also came with useful and easy to understand instructions. I would still recommend doing some extra research on top of the instructions provided. The Kefir did it’s job and I didn’t seem to have any problem with it.

It took a good 3 weeks before they starting working well- almost gave up. Now they are active, with visible bubbles rising from the bottom.

I followed the directions exactly and I have been tasting each day. It's definitely fermenting, but I am not sure if I am just used to kombucha or if it's gone wrong, but the flavor is not for me. Going to keep an eye on it, as it maybe will get better.

I bought 2 sets of Water Kefir from 2 different Sellers - this one - has bigger size (no sugar included). Seller recommends to start 1st batch with molasses, which i did not have at home.. so i used Brown Sugar instead - and still worked! And worked much better then from other Seller, who includes brown sugar as a start up. Would buy again and would recommend my friends to buy from this Seller.

Los compré con mucha duda, pensando si me servirán o no. Hice tal cual las instrucciones y mi kefir está hermoso! Se hidrataron bien, crecieron y se duplicaron. Ya estoy haciendo kéfir de agua. Lo recomiendo 100%

Got the dehydrated water grains in the mail in short amount of time. These guys ship super fast! After following the instructions they never rehydrated so we had to throw them away. It's winter in Colorado so keeping the fermenting temp up is hard to do. I have purchased the prehydrated before and they work great, never had an issue. Guess the dehydrated are a little more picky. Knew I was taking a chance with these and bummed it didn't work out... won't buy my grains from anywhere else though!
