Best waffle maker!!
This is the second waffle maker I've tried, and it works significantly better than my old one. There are just so many features I like about this waffle maker: - Small footprint makes it easier to storage in my kitchen, where cabinet space is limited. - It beeps to let you know when you waffle is done (based on your preferred darkness-setting, 1-5), so you won't under or over cook it. This was a BIG improvement from my prior waffle maker, where I'd regularly undercook waffles. - Easy to use - you just dump your waffle mixture into the top of the machine and... that's it! - It gives you a PERFECT exterior. I use the "3" setting, and I got a nice light brown, slightly crispy exterior. YUM! Additionally, clean up was pretty easy, although I do wish I could give it a quick rinse in the sink (the instructions say to wipe down with a cloth instead). As a bonus, I liked the recipes I tried from the included booklet. Yesterday we made the lemon poppy seed waffles and they were a big hit with my kids!

Super good quality and super easy to make, but bit smile when you first buy it.
This is my first waffle machine, and I’m very happy with it! Very easy to use, very easy to clean and it never sticks to the surface. However, during the first few times there was a horrible smell no matter what I did I couldn’t get rid of the smell. After cleaning it with warm water and soap, I made waffles at least 6-7 times that I had to dump into the garbage bin because of the smell. If there was a solution and I didn’t know it, that’s on me, but I washed it multiple times and heated it without the batter in it just to get rid of the smell. Now that we have been using it for months, the smell is gone and we are very happy about it if you buy this just find a way to get rid of the smell in a different way.

Awesome Waffle Maker
I normally don’t write reviews, but decided to with this one. I had had about 3 previous waffle makers. Decided to try the standing one. Not sorry I did. I feel it’s the best maker out there. No oil or spray needed before making waffle, beeps when heated and waffle is done. Cleanup is easy. I make a lot of waffles so this is great. The only thing I would change is the design of the measuring cup it comes with. You should be able to see the lines better for amount of batter you put in, also should have a pour spout so it goes into center of maker easier. I would highly recommend this maker to anyone who loves Belgian waffles as much as we do. Thank you for this wonderful product.

Works great and easy to operate/clean
Fantastic Belgian waffle maker. Simple to operate and...just works. We've used standard box/bag pancake mix (you just add a bit of oil in addition to the required water) and legit Belgian waffle mix (egg + oil + water). The Belgian mix is better IMHO but the kids love the pancake mix version as well. I found that the highest heat/cook time setting (#5 on the dial) works best. We like them crispy on the outside which #5 handles, but they still stay soft inside which is perfect. If you go less than #4 on the heat/cook time dial you will get lightly brown waffles which can be a bit flimsy... I don't use the included measuring cup when filling the machine with waffle mix. I use a mixing bowl with spout and slowly pour in mix until I know the waffle iron is full. Don't over-fill or you'll be wiping up a mess. The mix slightly expands when heated so pour slowly and watch for the "bubble up" of batter and then stop when just about full. When cooked you're left with a bit of an edge which I just cut off so the waffle is round... Clean up is also easy. Let the machine completely cool and just brush off the left over waffle bits. The non-stick cooking surfaces don't even need any cooking spray. Just use non-scratch tongs to peel the waffle off when done cooking. Overall it's easy to use, cooks perfect Belgian style waffles, and the kids love them w/ real maple syrup. So, it's a winner in this house. We also love our Cuisinart burr-grinding coffee maker and 11 cup food processor. All great products...

Great waffle maker with a good space saving design
*Disclaimer* I have only used this waffle maker once since I purchased it. However, when shopping for a space saving waffle maker that didn't compromise on fluffy Belgium waffles, and was a brand I trust, I decided to give this a try. First, it is simple as hell to operate, just plug in and turn on and adjust the temp nob for desired "doneness". Easy peasy. Second, fill the waffle maker using the provided scoop. This was a bit more trial and error as there is no real markings on the scoop to show max or min amount to pour. Once I figured out to get the perfect roundness one wants from their waffle, I used a full to the top scoop per waffle. Third, ease of removal. This was surprisingly super easy. The angle of the bottom plate made it easy to get under the waffle and remove it. Lastly, clean up wasn't so much easy as it is a bit of a technique curve. I'm saying this because the bottome plate opens but doesn't lay flat due to the lack of weight on this portion. This is a no nrainer as they wouldn't want a hkt waffle maker flipping over on someone everytime its opened. With that in mind I would suggest using a kitchen grade "paint brush" to swipe away left over crumbs and debris from a cooled waffle maker. There were no seen leaks nor did I experience a eaffle that wasn't cooked right. My waffles turned out fluffy and perfect every time I made a waffle. I would reccomend with the caveat it's a bit hard to clean if that matters. Otherwise it's some of the best waffles I've had at home.

Great waffles with no hassle!
I love this vertical waffle maker. It makes perfect waffles every time. Yum! The waffle never sticks and no spray is required like other makers. Very minimal cleaning is ever needed.

Almost but not quite so overpriced
I’m not sure if I would have liked one of the cheaper offerings at 1/3 the price better because I haven’t tried the others lately. Our last Belgian waffle maker was a beast to clean and batter would ooze out no matter how careful we were, and onto areas difficult to clean. That was my number one need when picking a new waffle maker: quick to clean. While this maker is probably better than the rest in that it doesn’t allow batter to seep out the edges, ever, they completely failed at the design of the opening where you pour the batter, no doubt to cut corners and save a buck without passing that savings into the buyers. Basically you will be overpaying. The opening is the same frustrating headache to clean, especially since batter gets into the seams of where the plastic is connected to the plates. I have a devil of a time getting batter off of the plastic whether it’s still hot (ouch) or cooled (impossible at times and requires many toothpicks.) It is not made out of the same nonstick cast iron material that the plates are and it gets just as hot so the choice was not for “safety reasons” at all. A simple engineering change to mold the entire peace along with the plates as a whole piece would have made this a 5-star unbeatable waffle iron worth the price I payed. Instead I overpayed for cheap quality engineering. What they could have done in design would not have cost them that much more in the end, especially subtracting the expense of separately molded pieces for the pour spout in labor and materials. Making the waffle plates a single continuous molded piece including the pour spout would not have increased the current price by very much at all. If you don’t care about batter build up near the spout over time and never keeping it really clean between uses, you might like the machine, but know that you are paying more than it is worth in its present design. Imho it would be better to buy the traditional Belgian waffle designs available at cheaper prices because you still have to deal with the cleanup with this one anyway and that was the primary selling point.

GREAT PRODUCT
Their is a slight learning curve to this waffle maker. We used the Belgian waffle mix from Winn Dixie. First try I could not get the waffles completely round. I use milk instead of water when making these so now I add 1/2 cup more than called for which makes the batter a bit runnier. I also move from side to side when pouring into the slot at the top. Once I changed these 2 things I have prefect waffles every single time. I use the #5 setting so they are a darker brown and crispy. I also bought some butter flavored cooking spray (this will leak out the bottom) so make sure you set your maker on a round pan or something so you don't have a big mess. I spray top and bottom plate make 2 waffles then spray again. Never have had and issue of it sticking when done this way. If you choose to use chocolate chips grab the mini ones they work so much better! Kids love it, I love it so a win win for our family!

Worth every Penny!!
Absolutely Fantastic. Tried it out this morning for breakfast and they turned out great. Deep square pockets/thick and crisp (if your recipe is right) and easy to use. without any over flow. Non stick coating is fab. No need to spray/rub any fat on the surface. Let’s you know when they’re ready.I used it on the No-4 setting as i like waffles more browned and they came out perfect. It comes with a good recipe book which i still need to go through. If you’re a true waffle fan then i highly recommend this machine.Have tried atleast 7-8 brands and acc. to me it’s the best one and is at par with the Ninja vertical one too. I prefer a round shape so that’s why i bought this. it’s a personal choice. Go for it. you will not be disappointed.

Simple
Hormis le nettoyage qui est un peu moins agréable, le produit est fantastique. De bonnes recettes sont fournies, de belles gaufres chaudes et de bonne épaisseur se font rapidement et simplement.
