Need cell type selection instructions, none available anywhere online
Came in fast and easy to install. Just installed this replacement cell. I need to program the proper cell type. My blue works control box shows options for F15 , C15, or what looks like an upside down F 15. I haven't heard back from Blue Works yet. I can't find any instructions anywhere online for this model number and what exact type it needs to be set as in the Blue Works control box.UPDATE 7/26—Blue Works replied and recommended trying selection h-15 or T-15. At least we know the upside down 4 is the h lol. I don’t have a choice for T15 so we’ll see how h15 does.

Defective product
I have revised my review from 3 stars to 1. Warranty service handled by replacement cell quickly after my cell went bad after less than 6 months of use. However, the replacement cell only lasted 4 months and had the same problem. When I contacted the seller about the second cell failing, they asked me to return both defective cells. I had already discarded the first one long ago. When I advised them of this, they asked me to send them $400.00 for them to send me the replacement when it was still under warranty. I refused and insisted they send me a replacement. After almost 6 weeks they finally sent me the replacement but refused to extend any time to my warranty, so if this one goes bad in 1 month, which it very well could, I am out of luck. Save your self the trouble and your money. Learn from my experience and buy your cell from someone else. One more thing about the seller, they tried to hold my replacement hostage by insisting that I change my review to 5 stars for them to send me my cell. I had to agree to do it to get my cell but they don't even deserve 1 star, but that's as low as you can go.

Works with Hayward Swimpure Plus
Update June 2024: Had to replace this cell in early May 2024. Wish it had lasted longer, but still a great value compared to the name brand. Purchased this exact one again and it is reading salinity correctly and making chlorine again.October 2021 (original review)My old salt cell was going bad for quite some time, unknown to me. I kept adding salt, blaming it on the rain and pumping extra water out. Come to find out, when it failed, it had been reading salinity wrong, shocker. When I connected this new cell, it was reading a huge salinity value. I thought I got a bad unit or one incompatible with my controller. Long story short, tested the salinity at a local pool store. Was way high and pumped out a lot of water to fix. Once down to a reasonable level, the salt cell accurately reads the salinity and makes chlorine. Make sure to check all that, before blaming the cell.

Excellent customer service
This is a replacement cell to our Hayward Aqua Rite salt system. Very easy to install and was producing chlorine within minutes.Product was working perfectly until recently. I noticed the system was reading low salt and was no longer producing any chlorine. I contacted customer service and after submitting a video of what was happening along with testing of the pool water they concluded the cell was defective and will be sending a replacement.4 stars for the salt cell since it did not last a full year, but 5 stars for the fact they stand behind their product.

2nd REVISION... Replacement has been working...
The replacement cel was received and has been working since October 20th (about 2 months now). The only possible issue is that it is working TOO good! I have to turn it off periodically because the chlorine level gets too high, but I'm happy to live with this, especially when next summer rolls around and I'll need it to produce a lot more. Happy customer at this point! This is an update to the review below... the cell stopped working after several days. I've ordered a replacement unit so will update this review a few days after that one is installed.Just plugged this in yesterday and so far so good. I know it is generating based on the panel data. Also, it immediately measured salt correctly which was the problem I was having with my 4.5 year old Hayward cell. I would give it 5 stars if I had it running longer. Just have to wait and see. If it is still looking good in a month I'll increase my review to 5 stars.

Died 2 Months After Warranty Expiration
Not sure if this is planned obsolescence, but it sure seems like it. You'd think they could design the salt cells to be a little more robust. I ordered a T-9 equivalent in June 2021 to beat the price of Hayward T-9 by about half. It worked well for about 6 months and died. Sent all the photos of the controller readings to customer service/tech support. They were nice and responsive and determined that my salt cell was, indeed, dead. They delivered a replacement within a few days of verifying the failure and I was back in business. The replacement has been working flawlessly for 6 or 7 months. This month, August 2022, the "check salt" and "inspect cell" lights were blinking. I cleaned the salt cell which had a lot of buildup on the plates, but it did not stop the lights from blinking. I'm fairly certain that I have another failure, two months after the warranty has expired. Very frustrating. I'll be looking for a better full replacement warranty of at least two years on my next salt cell.
