Honda/Acura Engine Performance

This is a well written, easy to understand, and easy to follow technically written book. Some reviewers state the information contained within it is elementary and outdated but I strongly agree! If this book has elementary information for someone I'd lean toward that person being a seasoned import engine mechanic. For instance there a pages and pages of clearly defined calculations for determining all sorts of information that the average person would simply be left to guess at. That being said, I feel you could completely omit this section and still walk away with large amounts of detailed critical honda specific know how! Have an open mind and prepare to fill it with excellently detailed information that can instantly be used in the real world.

I enjoyed reading the book because it covered the basics of a honda motor by talking about how a motor works. (Mainly B-Series) After it talked about upgrading from basic bolt ons to working on the internals and then turbo and supercharges. It also goes into detail about what each different performance part does. I would recommend this book to beginners or to anyone who wants to build their motor.

It upsets me that there was no gift receipt with the order and he may not be able to keep the book I have printed 1 and plan on mailing it

This is a must have for the enthusiast to to hardcore. Not everyone can know all, so I use this a reference from time to time. I enjoyed Mike kojima writimg. Packed full of tips. Expand your knowledge in the tuner world.Like most books out there that waste six chapters on entry level stuff then a few on basic stuff then end with a few tips or a bit of knowledge. This book by Mike Kojima is straight forward, better then must books regarding performance etc.Buy it, you'll have no regrets.

A great book with tons of knowledge. Especially for the B series. Didn’t not see much of any other motor discussed in the book at all.

Nice book, recap of basic car mecanical principle and tuning parts applied to Honda's.The book is quite old now and lot of compagnies cited in this book don't exist anymore, but nothing that worth it is forgoten so rip off of the product exist now.A Nice and serious entry to the 90's 00's Honda tuning world.
