Xiaomi Mi TV stick

Great TV stick for my non smart tv. Easy to set up, has a remote control that is user frindly and you can stream lot of common apps. Compatibke with most popular apps and works very well. Ordering another one for my son, so I thought I would leave an jonest review. Xiaomi 10 stars!!

Very, very slow. Not worth the money. Better off with an Amazon stick.

Good product, easy to install and works very well

The product came packaged very neat similar to the Amazon Firestick...wonder where did they get their inspiration. In terms of usability, the product has it's glitches and jams from time to time needing a reset. I believe it has something to do with the amount of memory available (ROM). For the price paid you can't really find a android tv stick unless you get the Amazon Firestick and have the constraint of not having the google play app. UPDATE: Device received a software update that made it work wonderful, the new user experience is a 10 out of 10. No lags and no problems.

This is my first experience of the Xiaomi Mi devices, if I'm honest I love the Amazon streaming devices there easy to set up and the Bluetooth remote smashes other devices into the ground. I'm an inquisitive person who loves there streaming devices therfore I'm quite fussy, I own an Nvidia Shield device so the Xiaomi Mi TV stick has some high standards to compete with!! So here goes!! I love this device!! nice little remote that feels substantial in the hand Bluetooth too!! 😊 I installed my apps easily! So happy days there! The picture quality is spot on and it streaming effortlessly. No buffering for me!!!! Would I recommend that people buy it? The answer is YES Is it value for money? The answer is YES again Would I try other Xiaomi Mi devices most definitely! At some point I will get other device's the play with and use.

Easy enough to set up but half way thru it says set up you local content and shows all countries apart from United Kingdom. Once on and running the WiFi set up says CONNECTED but "NO INTERNET" (VIRGIN MEDIA ONLY) you have to turn off your router to get this to disappear and for stick to actually properly connect with WiFi. The remote it's self is a bit laggy well to be honest if you've got quick clicking fingers it's very laggy to the point you have to leave the app your in and the re-enter and go much slower so it doesn't freeze. As for video playback it is very good (no 4k) but does have its moments of complete freeze like it can't keep up. All this will probably be fixed on next update of the stick. Also if ordering in the UK from Amazon please be aware it doesn't even come with a UK plug and it doesn't come with an adapter plug either ( more expense). I ordered 4 and all have had the same issues quoted above. This is an honest appraisal of this device and is now up to you if you want to buy yourself. Thanks

After trying out a few other smartTV bixes, this is the best yet. Easy to install and use, also very easy to download apps from playstore.

Tengo una smart pero con limitaciones claras en las descargas de apps de TV por temas de derechos, bien pues con este producto ahora tengo absolutamente todo, Netflix, HBO, Vodafone TV, Disney +, también el Kodi para ver deportes, etc. La instalación es super fácil, hay 20 videos en youtube que lo explican muy bien, todo se maneja de maravilla con el pequeño mando que no da sensación de barato, la imagen es buena, no es 4k, pero es un buen full HD, tiene un poco de lag al principio sobre todo en aplicaciones potentes como Vodafone TV con 220 canales y la función 7 días atrás pero en unos segundos se estabiliza y funciona correctamente. Indicar que también es ChromeCast, es decir, vinculas tu móvil y puedes ver tus videos, fotos, aplicaciones de tu smartphone en tu TV. Llevo dos días usándolo y de momento solo veo ventajas, no noto que se caliente especialmente, muy contento por los 30 euros invertidos y el producto que he recibido (por cierto, antes de fecha) bien por Xiaomi.
