Sony DVM4CLD2 Mini DV Camcorder Cleaning Tape (Japan)

Worked first time

Brutally and exploitatively expensive for what it is, there seemed no choice but to try if I wanted to be able to review some old mini DV tapes. There seemed some improvement in reading the particular tape I was wanting, but it's hard to be sure what role this cleaning tape played. However, it appears the genuine article and behaved correctly. I can't read Japanese, but you don't really need to be able to. Worth a shot if you can't manage another way., hence four stars. Delivery etc fine.

absolute rubbish, did not work, tape repeatedly escaped from the guide and eventually jammed in the camera so had to be destroyed to remove, fortunately, as far as I know did not damage the camera.

Great product. Used it on an old camcorder that wouldnt play video tapes, it solved the problem, ran the head leaner fore 10 se onds, j9b done.

Did not make any difference to my camcorder which hadn’t been used for years but seems to work well on some cams. Disappointed that it didn’t work for me
