Is this bag for loading 35mm film only? Can I work with medium format one too?

The bag is large enough for any size film. I even use it to load 4x5 film holders and to transfer film to a 4x5 daylight tank. I’ve had this bag for several years, snd it’s holding up well.

I have a small bag like this, and have the hardest time loading film without being able to see what I'm doing. Is there any way around this?

Maybe. If you are loading unexposed film that is below ISO 400 and is not infrared, and is going on a cartridge that snaps into a camera (medium format) you can load film in a very dimly lit room. If you are loading infrared or any format on a spool to be placed in a light-tight cartridge (35mm) or loading exposed film on a developing spool, the only thing you can do is practice in daylight with a cheap roll of film. Next practice doing that with your hands under a table. Then practice in the dark until you can load it reliably.
