AHH MY HEART
I really love this manga so far and am totally waiting for Vol. 3-4 to be released in March. I personally relate to Dai (Dai Miyamoto - Main Protagonist) when it comes to loving music and wanting to express his emotions using music. Jazz is a genre I enjoy listening to, but like Dai, I love the fact that it's super intense and just so powerful. I used to play the violin back in high school, I was in advanced orchestra even though I barely knew how to read music sheets! I couldn't even read music notes without writing in the letters underneath the score. I didn't even perform all that well and was stuck on second violin (To those who get what I mean, will get what I mean when I say that lol), but without a doubt still loved music. This manga really brought out a part of me that I needed back in my life honestly! I remember the intensity and the feelings I had back then, and honestly would love to go back find my passion in music again. Ah, this was about the manga lol! 443 pages and 16 chapters in this version (Vol 1-2), and honestly totally worth a buy if you enjoy music! For my manga readers, just like how you enjoy sport manga, you'll enjoy this! It doesn't give too much detail in music theory (mainly because the focus is Dai's experience) but you'll still appreciate this manga!

Je Suis Dai Miyamoto
There is an old gospel song with the lyrics, “Take me back/take me back dear Lord/to the place where I first received You. Take me back/take me back dear Lord/where I first believed.”“Blue Giant” did that for me. Phenomenal story, plot progression, and characters as the high school protagonist makes discoveries and mistakes in his quest to explore the Jazz idiom on tenor saxophone. Can’t wait for the next installment.

Blue Giant finally heads West!
Arrived on time and as expected. When I found out Blue Giant would be getting published in the west, I was eager to purchase it. For anyone who loves music, a well written cast of characters tied up with a great story, this is a must read. Hopefully, one day Blue Giant gets an anime adaptation.

Great book
This story is amazing. Makes me want to learn sax. It revolves around jazz but is slice of life. If you enjoy “Kids on the Slope” you’ll enjoy this.I also had the book packed well.

Saxophone is best
The condition it came in was perfect, found this story online and knew that I needed a paper copy. Amazing.

The most beautiful manga to those who love music.
I purchased this manga because I respect the author so, so much. This story is by far the most authentic and poignant depiction of a person's relationship with music. Whether you are an amateur or a professional, if you immerse yourself in the craft, it is because of a sheer, unremitting love. This manga captures that essence--the privilege of being able to work ceaselessly for beauty--so well. The purity of the characters, the seriousness of the intent, and above all the unyielding, consuming drive for happiness from music are what make this manga a masterpiece in my eyes.

Great read, great graphics.
Nicely done. I’m hooked. Glad there are 10 volumes to look forward to. I love that it is authentically printed in Japan… printed from back to front and read right to left.
