Soothes and comforts; pretty messy; good stuff
My cat has a stomach condition and takes a lot of meds for it. Occasionally even those don't work and he goes through a rough patch of diarrhea and nausea and it's clear just how miserable he is. It took me awhile to find the product I wanted. So many brands advertise as fruit flavored and this would just add to my poor cat's misery. If I'm going to force something down his throat, I can at least not make him have something artificially cherry-flavored, geez. I happy to report that my cat tolerates this liquid very well. After initially spazzing out, he now accepts it without a fight and I'm convinced that's because the flavor is mild and it soothes him quickly afterward. The smallest recommended dose is 5ml and it goes up from there with your pet's weight. Keep in mind that's a lot of liquid to try to squirt down a cat's throat. That's why it was important to me to get something inoffensive and mild for him to take. The liquid is pretty thick and it's also opaque pink which can be messy if you aren't prepared. Keep a towel nearby and try not to let your cat shake its head (which flings drops of pink everywhere). According to the label it should be given every four hours. I often can't meet that schedule because I work, but I just give it to him when I can during the day and it helps soothe him until he gets through it. About 15 minutes or so after dosing my cat with this liquid he appears visibly more comfortable (for instance he'll curl up and go to sleep whereas before he was crouching on all 4 feet and looking stiff and pained). It doesn't cure him of all his problems, but it gives him comfort and for that I'm really grateful. I took the bottle with me to the vet today for my cat's check up. She approved me to continue using it (I bought it without asking first-- I was desperate) but she also told me to not give it at the exact same time as his regular meds because it could interfere with the absorption of his prescriptions. Good to know. I recommend this stuff, but also that you check with a vet if you can. Also, be aware that although this stuff is pink, it is NOT the same as pepto bismol. Pepto bismol should not be given to cats. Good luck!

Works wonders
Lifesaver for my German shepherd with epi, any time he has a flare up i start this immediately! It helps sooth his stomach and helps greatly with the diarrhea. Wish it would come w a syringe to push down the throat. I keep multiple of these in my cupboard bc his weight is almost 100lbs and he need the max dosage. If u have a pet with epi must have this product but follow directions every 4 hrs is a must to b effective.

This Does The Job
I had a puppy and a young dog who had major diarrhea at the same time. They were healthy and active, with good appetites but no idea what caused it. Since they had recently been to the vet and weren't in distress, I switched them over to the rice and meat diet to help bulk them up. Unfortunately it was a slow process so I gave the KP liquid a shot. Within a day they had semi-solid stools. Two days later, they're back to normal. This isn't a cure-all. Sometimes diarrhea is a form of something larger that needs a vet's attention. But for the off days, it's nice to have something that works quickly. As an aside, if your dog doesn't like the taste, you can use a medicine syringe/dispenser such as the vet uses. 5 ml equals 1 teaspoon. I just held their mouths open and shot the medicine in, simple. Later they discovered that they liked it, so all I had to do was pour some into a bowl for each. Don't be afraid to give a little more if it's not working fast enough. I wound up adding a little extra to the last two dosages which did the trick. Oh, and shake the bottle really well. It separates easily.

Very difficult to get cats to take it
It requires a whole teaspoon for an adult cat. My cat hated it. I manged to get ot down her once or twice a day diluted and still she drowled everywhere at 2 times a day her stool was not as runny, but still a problem. For cats I'd look for something with a lower dosage or a better flavor.

Works good
Bought when our new kitten came home, definitely seemed to help her feel better. Simple to give to them with a syringe. It’s a fairly thin liquid so you can also mix it in wet food. It seemed to provide relief quickly for her! Definitely a good value for the price.

Yes I know I can return it it's just a hassle I shouldn't have to do that. I'm so blind I apologize I really thought the date was expired but it's not now u have two meds lol my fault 😣

Rip off.
It is a 2oz bottle with what looks, and smells like Pepto Bismol in it. My dog gets a large dose, so this was two dosages for him. I am not impressed.
