Works great with โmostโ Renogy products
I have this setup with 2 Renogy Rover 60a LI charge controllers, 4-100ah Renogy Smart Lithium Batteries, and a Renogy 3000watt inverter/charger. Wished the inverter could connect

Expand the Renogy One Core, With Complications
This is pretty much required with the Renogy One Core, if you are using more than one hard-wired device. You get the choice of RS-485 or CAN communications, but _not_both_ because this hub will do one or the other but not both. You set which protocol the hub will run with a switch. And the One Core has only _one_ hardwired connector, so there you have a choice of one or the other and not both, as well. It might work to connect a second Communications Hub to Renogy One Core using the BT-2 adapter, and then you could have both RS-485 and CAN. If You can also connect devices to the One Core using Bluetooth, and control home devices using Zigbee.

Works as intended
Seems to work great. I can't get the BT-2 module to connect to the 1000W inverter, but I have determined it is not because of the hub.

Not needed just for newer multiple battery systems
Renogy makes some cool products. I just wish they could figure out just a minimal bit of customer service. The technical support includes a Philippines tech maybe with 1 day of training ... not even aware of most of the Renogy products or how they might work. I design/install/sell solar products and I thought I would give Renogy a try since my wholesale distributor has continual moving/website issues lately in Covid19 times. I am also a level 3 digital/analog electronics technician. I find myself explaining basic solar/electrical concepts to any reps ... when I did get a person but mostly by email. You will wait at least 2 days for any reply and that response will seem like a google translation that was unsuccessful. So onto this product. Even the sales dept can not figure out what they sale or how to list products. This item is actually an RS485 hub .... yet they call it w BT hub! I waited money on it due to the wrong/lack or part number since I waited passed 30 day window. So here is what you might need this item for. It is for connecting older renogy products that do NOT have an extra uplink port. This is terrible design ... since RS485 typically has a daisy chain option to link up multiple items in series. It shows how Renogy is a rename company using other products but has no idea about them. Typically you need this item for hooking older inverters, charge controllers and such along with smart batteries by Renogy. The newer batteries with 2 ports don't need this for multiple battery systems. Oh... BTW Stay away from those Renogy all-in-ones (including Lycans) that are not UL or CE listed!

Works but not well with multiple devices
The product works but Iโve tried many times to get multiple batteries and charge controllers at the same time with no luck. Renogy customer support still does not have a solution other than the product manual.

Very hard to follow instructions!
I have tried to use this hub to tie in my solar controller, BT-2, Core One and Battery Shunt 300. This will be two months I have been trying to combine all these with the hub, but no closer now that when I bought them. Renogy technicians seem to think all of their customers are trained techs also. Their customer service stinks! Back in the box for now.

Not great
Renogy really sucks, this device makes things dissapear and non responsive. I have to plug my bt2 directly into certain devices to get them back communicating. Good concept but in practice it just isnt reliable for multiple charge controllers.
