Previous review below. This is an updated review. Diffusing Essentials contacted me immediately after I reviewed the Lava Stone Aromatherapy Pendant and sent me a new one at no further cost to me. The second pendant came in a pouch, but the chain was tangled and broken. I assume that happened during shipping. I untangled and put it back together. The replacement pendant's clasp works wonderfully! I love being able to wear my diffusing necklace with an essential oil for an illness or for a citrus pick-me-up. It is versatile and perfect!Previous review....Beautiful necklace, but the lava stone has fallen out 5 times and once was into the oven. If I had not been home, the stone would be lost, and it was just delivered today. I was so excited to receive this diffuser because it is pretty and I have a cough. A diffuser necklace is no good if the clasp won't remain closed. I believe it is a faulty clasp. There was no option for contacting the seller so this will be returned.

***Updated review ****After a few weeks of wear (just now getting back to update review) the silver rubbed off, and is now junk.Which is so sad because I loved the look, and the function of these!Save your moneyWe took away 3 stars for the disappointment, loss of $$, and the fact that there's no way the seller could not know if they did their homework!*** UPDATE ***( 09/2016)Apparently the seller has become aware of the problem with the necklace, and has switched products to a stainless steel item. They look exactly the same, but this one should not deteriorate over time. Finger crossed! I really did enjoy the design of the necklace along with the length, and of course being able to apply my own oils! ^_~I am very impressed with this seller for being proactive, and standing by their product! Very impressed.I raised the rating to 5 stars because I really do love the look, and concept - so I am willing to have faith in both the necklace, and in the seller!***IF this replacement deserves less than my current rating of 5 stars I will come back, and change the review again, otherwise I will leave it as I stands at 5 stars.I hope for you and me that the sellers new product is just as wonderful as we hope it is!I will only come back to this review with an update IF it is NOT a great product!!At which time I have complete faith in this awesome Amazon Seller! ^_^

LOVE LOVE LOVE this necklace! I opened the packet, unhooked the clasp to expose the enclosed ball and put two drops of my favorite scent (a "good night" relaxing blend) onto the lava ball and I was immediately surrounded by pure bliss! I've had the necklace on ever since I received it (well except to shower) and the scent is still strong. The lava ball really holds the oils in and disperses the scent upward and around you. I like that the ball can be reused-rinse with a carrier oil such as coconut oil and then reapply new scents. Or you can order replacement balls if you want. I only wish that I had found this necklace sooner! It's not only functional, it's a very beautiful piece of jewelry also. I went to the store yesterday and received many compliments. Not only on the necklace but of my "perfume"! It's a win-win!

I excitedly purchased this necklace and trusted the great reviews. On day one the chain broke, the diffuser fell off the chain and the the little circle to put it back on couldn't be found. I then put it on another chain and the lava ball keeps falling out. I'm a nurse and at work and we tried to tighten the clasp. I just finished crawling under a patient's bed to retrieve the lava ball. I want a refund. Very very disappointed, as I was very excited about this product.

I adore this diffuser necklace. I get so many compliments whenever I wear it. My only complaint is that the lava rock takes quite some time to absorb the essential oil. This makes it nearly impossible to place of a drop of oil on the ball while it's in the necklace and wear it immediately without getting oil on your clothing. It's best to place the ball on a small dish, apply the oil and wait several minutes before placing it into the necklace.

Oh how I LOVE this diffuser! I'm new to essential oils (and still learning) but having this around my neck with my oil of choice certainly helped me through my day. When I was feeling tired I put a mix of orange/lemon oil on the lava ball (inside) and go about my business. I could smell the gentle aroma every time I moved and it was lovely, giving me a spark of energy and invigoration. If I'm feeling stressed I use it with lavender oil for gentle relaxation. I can't wait to delve more into the science and use of essential oils and this necklace is certainly a nice addition to the therapy. (I also purchased an extra set of 6 lava balls to use with different oils)

This necklace is so pretty & the perfect length. Also not too heavy & the clasp that holds the rock works well. Easy to open but not too tight. However, I wish the lava rock was more absorbant. The oil tends to roll off the rock when applied to it. I've had to roll the rock between my fingers to keep the oil on it, and that does seem to work, but is really messy. I've also gotten oily residue on my clothing when wearing the necklace. I've only put 1 drop on per wearing, so it's not from applying too much. I'm still giving 4 stars because I'm wearing the necklace anyway, I love getting a whiff of my oils throughout the day, and I've gotten compliments on the product.

I got a ton of compliments on this necklace. My issues are that the silver has turned bronze in areas and the chain had to be replaced. As to the price, there are a lot of other necklaces that are similar quality for less money. Also, i had to take pliers to the clasp on the locket because it kept popping open and ended up losing the lava stone. I was able to fix it though. Then had to find and buy more lava stones. Ugh. It was pretty when i first recieved it, but now that it's bronze and the chain is broken, It's time to replace. With a different brand unfortunately.
