With the word "Tension" in the product title and description, I was fully expecting a "Spring Loaded" type of tension. Must admit I was a little disappointed, but decided to figure it out - LOL!!! After reading the directions and installing the curtain rod in my shower, I am totally amazed at how strong and sturdy the rod is!! So far, it is holding my new hookless shower curtain very securely in place. The rod appears to be a very high quality product with an outstanding price point and looks very pretty in my shower. The rubber ends have a super grip and there appears to be no slippage at all. VERY happy with this shower curtain rod!!! Thank You!!

this is a good solid smooth shower rod! I previously bought one, not realizing it was enforce screw together pieces, and returned it. This is one long piece with a shorter that telescopes in with the spring, and is absolutely what I was looking for!

Works great, as expected

Extremely difficult to use!! It is very hard to get this rod to the correct length. Once there, it is complicated to twist it to lock in the length since the rod wants to move from the exact length as it is twisted. Then once it is installed, when the curtain is moved, the rod falls down! I repeated this process three times with the same infuriating result!! I went to return it to Amazon, but alas on this return they didn’t give me a QR code. Instead they wanted me to print out a return label. I don’t have a printer, so looks like I am keeping this awful rod. 😖😖

It unlocked easily for us. To get the locking function to work, I had to extend the rod fully, pulling the inner rod out fully. You will then see a clear elastomer part that rides on a conical thread. Hold the elastomer part stationary and rotate the inner rod to see how the elastomer will expand within the outer tube. Turn the rod back a bit, so the inner just fits within the outer, slide the rod to the desired length, then rotate the inner in the direction you just figured out is needed to make it expand and lock (same as the instructions show BTW). Somehow, after no success getting it to lock initially, once I had looked at how the mechanism works I was able to lock it in place easily.

I wanted to mount my beautiful shower curtain in front of my step-in shower. So I decided a spring loaded rod would be the solution. After a search I chose this model. And the price was excellent. I was able to place it a few inches in front of the glass door and the beautiful curtain, which I had put away since my move to an apartment with only a step-in shower, is securely hanging now, adding a touch of soft beauty to my bathroom. The shiny white finish is perfect.

Rod seemed decent enough until unwrapping it. Clear wrap came off ok, then found out the instruction sheet was glued to the rod. Took about 30 minutes to remove it along with the residue that was left. Dumb

I read sooooooo many reviews on these things before I purchased it. I swear I did more work looking over details on a pole then I did buying a car. All I saw on some poles reviews was "this falls off " or "wahhh it's so much money and didn't work" . Well I'll tell you right now, you can stop your looking and stop your fears. This pole ACTUALLY works correctly and holds $^&(#@ on it too. In the start it's a little tricky to put on you need to squeeze and push and etc... but once you get it you're fine! I wouldn't try to hang from it like a monkey, but it certainly holds my towel and when I pull my towel down from it the pole stays. Hopefully this helps you make a decision .

Fine a little flimsy but will do the job

I have a breeze coming in around corners of my door - like in the UK I just put up a curtain to stop all the cold from coming in. this rod works perfect and I can take it down when the weather gets warmer.

Cheap even by amazon standards. No plastic spacer to fill the 1/16th" gap between the inner and outer tubes. The labels are double wrapped and glued on so I spent 30 minutes trying to remove them before I gave up and repacked it all to drop it at a Purolator outlet. None of the photos on the site show the defects. Buyer beware... Edited after reading ratings: Sorry...I'm only one of many purchasers of this junk that say exactly the same thing. You listening, am azon?
