Well built and very useful device, causes some vignetting on Fuji 50mmf2
This is a really innovative lens cap solution. I usually don't use lens caps because they're annoying to take off and replace. The X-Cap II uses a simple push or pull to open or close the clever shutter mechanism. It's very convenient, and barely adds any length to the lens.I bought this 46mm version for use on a Fuji 50mmf2 lens. The black X-Cap II doesn't clash with the lens. This would live on my camera except for a small amount of vignetting, and I can't use the lens hood in conjunction with it. I'm sure this works nicely on other lenses. I would love to see a 49mm version for the Fuji X100 series.Great cap, just doesn't work for my particular setup.

Kudos to Freemod for coming up with an innovative and useful product!
This is a really handy product. I've got three of these installed on the lenses for my travel camera kit (a Panasonic GM-5). They have performed flawlessly. Kudos to Freemod for coming up with an innovative and useful product!

Great product.
Great product ... excellent quality and performs flawlessly. I bought two, for the Leica 15mm f/1.7 and the Panasonic 35-100 f/4.0-5.6, and the fit for each was perfect. Highly recommended!

Love it!!
Seriously, why hadn't I bought one of these sooner?! I practically live behind my camera and am notorious for leaving my lens cap in random places as I'm shooting. When this arrived the other day I was excited to try it out. Without incident, I was able to screw the X-Cap II Lens Cap onto my Canon EF 40mm F/2.8 STM using a 52-46mm step down adaptor ring. The whole process was pretty much identical to that which you would perform when adding a lens filter. Once on, the process to "open" is as simple as pulling the X-Cap II Lens Cap out or forward. This exposes the lens and you are free to shoot away without worry. The cap does not interfere at all with lens visibility and is just as easy to close when done. Yep, you guessed it! When done shooting, simply push the cap back towards the lens. The lens cap itself feels extremely durable and doesn't add any additional bulk. It actually isn't even noticeable on as the color and finish are very close to my Canon EF 40mm F/2.8 STM lens.As a photography student, I was able to order this lens cap at a discount in exchange for an honest review. If this becomes available for larger lenses, I would buy additional ones, without the discount, in a heartbeat! I couldn't be happier with this item and highly recommend it to others.

Fast, Easy, and Convenient!
The media could not be loaded. Â Okay, I am excited about this one! I love my Panasonic LUMIX GF5 Camera, but hated having to take on and off the lens covers, dropping them, forgetting which pocket they were put in, etc. I received my lens cap yesterday, took it out of the box, screwed it onto the lens, and now I am wondering why I didn't buy this cover a LONG time ago! It is sleek, black, and doesn't look out of place on my camera. It was easy to put on and it is easy to open and close once on the camera lens. You simply pull the lens cover forward to open the cover and back to close it. It is that simple. Amazing that I was able to order this lens cover at a discount in exchange for an honest opinion. I would order this one without the discount. Great product!
