NOT 1080p.
Cons:Not 1080p Full HD. I am guessing it up-converts from a very low quality. Not even 720 HD quality. While driving only sound you can hear is vibrations but you can hear sound fine when vehicle is stopped.Useless manual.Night vision is useless.Pros:Cheap.Lightweight.Worked Flawless w/ my 32gb Samsung Evo micro SD.Nice little suction cup to attach to windshield.Records sound.Easily transfer vids after plugging into windows 7 PC.Automatically turns off after I shut off car.I don't have another product to compare this to as this looked to be the best camera in my price range. Picture quality is very grainy even at 1080p full hd setting. I cannot even make out the license plate of the vehicle directly in front of me at a stop light. The manual is pretty useless but it doesn't take very long to figure out how to adjust the settings. Maybe 10 minutes. Overall I will keep it, since I doubt we will find anything comparable in this price range. Besides not being full HD everything else works the way I would expect it. It properly loops the SD card.

So far so good, Good deal for the money.
Unit is not bad for the price. Comes with a very long power cable (USB to 12V Cig Liter). Unit formatted 32gig SD card without issue. Mounting took a little work as I did not want wires hanging down all over the place. I was able to route the power cable by going in reverse starting with the USB end and found a hole new the power section in my 2012 Sonata 2.0t. I ran the cable behind the glove box and up through a small opening in the dash near the speaker I was able to hid the cable and run it behind the weather stripping then under the roof liner. I mounted the unit just below the mirror. First tests went well. Resolution is good. Set up is not too complex but the manual is terrible. The video in the default settings is a bit sharp, almost too sharp. Some images demonstrate tiny pixels but you can read plates and signs. If you shrink the video down a little it is VERY clear. I have a 3 monitor set up so I was in wide screen mode. For the price I think this a good buy. I am not sure how reliable it will be. The suction cup mount is a bit cheap but does the job. The camera has a cheap feel but appears to work well. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND leaving it in the hot sun. Turns on when you turn on the car, turns off when you turn off the car. Has a battery but don't count on it for long recording. 3 minute blocks seem to create files about 600mb. Setting it to 1 minute will create smaller files. Oddly it does have an stabilizer function that does work! Audio quality is fair to good. Video quality is VERY GOOD especially at this price point. I have not tried it at night yet. Display can be disabled or set to time out after a max of 5 minutes. Night vision was mentioned but this is not possible as all you would see is a reflection on the windshield. It will take JPEG still shots. Videos are MOV format. H264. Digital magnification is 4x. Has HDMI output. USB interface for PC connection or charging. AV audio and video outs. 1 gig DDR3 memory on board. Has face focus feature , seamless video recording. No manual optical adjustment. Oddly the USB power connector is on TOP not bottom. You can flip the image but the time stamp and on screen display will be upside down. Does have a cheap feel to it so it will probably break easy, but at this price I will just get another one. Also has built in G sensor that locks files , it is adjustable.

Not what was ordered, did not work, horrible mount. Other than that its great.
I will start with the most minor and work up to the big one. The product I received was not same color as pictured so beware of that. The second issue was the mount. The design of the mount is so big it does not allow for descret mounting by any stretch. I tried everything I could but the camera hangs down so low and there is not enough angle adjustment in the mount to make anything work. Lastly this is cheaply manufactured. the buttons feel very cheap when you press them. If they do anything at all. Mine the power button did not work and the light stayed on right after day 1.

Youtube Goodness
The downsides, I think the 1080p claims on this and so many cheap cameras are way over-rated. It is a little bit flimsy, and the buttons are not all that intuitive. That said, I figured out how to use it without ever looking at the manual. I was surprised out how easy it was to get going right out of the box. All I did was add a 32 gig card, mount the suction cup, plug the power, and it immediately started recording! The date was wrong, which I fixed later. The night vision is so-so. But does pretty well with my HID headlights. But the price is ridiculously good for such a useful technology. The little display is good enough for framing up your recording. I have mine set as default, which continuously records until you pull the power, which causes it to shut down. It continues to record at stop lights, which I prefer. Sometimes, when I leave the car on short trips, I will leave it running, just in case any thing odd happens while I'm away. The camera doesn't separate from the Suction cup mount very easily. This is something that could be improved. I also don't see a way to easily mount it to a different mount. When I remove it from the window, I just remove it along with the mount as one piece.I pulled the memory card to view back the playback, it was very clear. I would rate it more around 720p, but still very clear and clean. I figure if I can get it to last a year, it is a complete deal. I see enough crazy stuff with my drives around town, that I think it is just a matter of time, before I am posting something absurd on youtube. Or good for insurance purposes if something unfortunate were to happen.Update: 1/17/15 - I don't think the mini USB power connection is the best in the world. I've seen these be weak in the past. I lost power to it today while driving and it shut down, I adjusted the cable and it immediately came back on. I set my wire to have as little tension as possible going into the unit. I'm considering stuffing a small piece of paper or something into the jack so that it will have less, play. Only happened one time. But something to watch out for.Update: 1/28/15 - It's lost power connection a couple more times. Again it's sorta loose up there, not really a problem yet. In some of my vehicles, there is constant power to the Cig lighter, this causes the camera to stay on, if I forget to unplug it. It boots very fast and starts recording in a few seconds. I will try to figure out how to leave a screen cap of the quality. But the 1080p mode is definitely no where near that. For $40 shipped on Amazon, I still say it is an amazing deal.
