I like this Susan BatesCrochet hook size H, 5.0 mm. It’s perfect to use with worsted weight yarn.

This hook is amazing. It makes crocheting so much more smooth compared to alternatives. The head is also very useful to get into the next stitch flawlessly.

Finally! A crochet hook with a shorter shaft (length between hook and finger hold). For some reason, I find it so much easier to use a hook with the shorter shaft. No idea why. I dropped the one I was using and have to wait for it to work it's way through the cushions to the floor so I can retrieve it. When I do, I'll have a spare. May order another just in case.

Quick delivery. I like working with aluminum hooks as they slide in and out of my crochet work smoothly. This brand is similar to the ones I already have and the H 5mm is clearly imprinted in the fingerhold of the crochet hook. The hook itself is deep enough to hold the medium yarn without separating the yarn as I thread it through. I am very happy with my purchase.

The straight design of these hooks help keep the stitches even. Other hooks that taper near the end make my stitch size vary, these do not.

The hook is a bit sharp at its tip, so it tends to catch my yarn (like dividing the threads), but it works as a back up for when my regular hook goes missing! However- I’m a beginner myself, so my authority is tenuous at best.

The box was opened enough for my hook to be sticking out of the package. It also came chipped. Also the shaft is shorter than my old sally bates hook. After closer inspection it looks like the chipped shaft is the manufacturers fault. Ill give 4 stars for speedy delivery

Crochet hook

I like the pointed head, but the hook is so short it doesn't fit in my hand correctly. I have big hands but not, like, monster hands and don't have this problem with other hooks. Also the sharp lip sometimes catches and rips the yarn instead of pulling away smoothly.

This is exactly what I was looking for - but couldn’t tell by photographs if it had the deep cut-out I was looking for - it does!

I use this size the most great I could buy just one and not a whole package of needles
