I love the size for traveling. It also heats up super quick. The only negative is the chemical smell. I have tried everything! I may sit it outside to air out.

I had one for myself and my friend at work liked it so much he wanted me to order one for him. I think this is the exact product I bought for myself, but different color. So as for mine it heats up really fast and it will turn off after it boils so that is a good safety feature. The turn on switch is lighted so it’s easy to know if it is on or off. Does not affect taste of water. Lightweight, easy to store and still holds a decent amount of water. You can get a good two-3 cups coffee/tea depending on size of cups.

The silicone seal on the lid most definitely seals inside this kettle AND there is a hole in the lid leading to the plastic part of the upper most kettle lid SO evaporating water steams up onto the silicone and into the hole leading to the plastic and falls into the water. I believe the burnt plastic smell is coming from this occurring.Of course, I’m very disappointed because all I want is a plastic/silicone free boiling experience.I’ve returned many kettles because of similar situations, but I finally gave up with this one and kept it.I decided to just boil water without the lid and put my thermometer in as I wait for the water to heat to the temp for my tea.It isn’t perfect, but it works for me.The escaping steam does pass the end of the plastic handle so there is still a faint plastic burning smell, but it isn’t falling back into the water if the lid is off.Also, my plug works here in the US. However, the base is black and the cord and plug are white. Perhaps it was changed once it arrived here? Regardless, it heats pretty darn quick, even with the lid off.It’s a good size for travel or brewing for one or two. It feels cheap, but it is cheap so that isn’t shocking.It’s decent, but certainly not a show piece.If you need a small kettle and don’t mind the lid’s seal or the hole where the evaporated water travels or you can deal with using it without the lid, this might be the kettle for you.

Even better in person. Quality kettle. Auto-off! Perfect size for travel, home, put in a tote bag. I use this everyday. Glossy black version. I bought this because it's stainless steel. The plastic is outside & on fully removeable lid. There is a plastic/silicone seal on the lid, but no interference with boiling water. This isn't a cheap, thin kettle, I would buy this again!

I hadn't used this thing but a few times before it started to rust. Not long after that, the stainless lost its shine and looks as though all the chromium is wearing off. I became afraid to use it to boil water for my neti pot, which was why I bought it.

It’s really cute and convenient for work and travel. I used it for everyday at work for cups noodle and hot tea. It came with a drawstring bag for easy packing. It took a total of 4 minutes to boil water since filter water at work is cold. One minor issue is that it is light weight so it is not thick enough so it’s warm to touch the kettle. I have to be aware not to hold the handle where it’s closed to on/off switches because it is warm.
