It does it's job well
This has worked well for me so far. I was worried when I pulled this out of the box, because the spool mechanism was seeming pretty stiff. However when I actually used the tool for a long distance measurement, it unspooled and respooled nicely. Even when I was using it on my own and used a rock to weight down the end. I've only used it to measure about 110ft so far. So I don't know if there are any issues when you unspool the tape further. I also got concerned when I made my measurement and the units were in meters I think. But feet / inches are on the other side of the tape. The meters side of the tape is the more common side to see when averagely used I think, which is a little unfortunate, but that's only a small issue usually. Overall, I didn't have any problems I couldn't solve, and this thing has been great so far the few times I have needed it.

Absolute garbage.
The tape was very stretchy, so there was no way to truly know what you were actually measuring. I had stretched it out over about 240' to mark holes and none ended up being correct. Also, the tape tore after about a half a day. This thing does not work well for either a string line or tape measure, and therefore has no redeeming qualities whatsoever.

Worked good for what I needed yo measure but it’s kind of cheap, the handle broke while I was reeling it in but other than that no complaints.

This tool was immediately helpful. I was able to locate my lot boundary marker after measuring the distance. I drove a piece of steel into a known boundary marker spot, placed the loop on the tape over the steel and simply reel it out.

The tape itself rips easily but the winder is decent quality.
For the price it did the job. But the tape was rather flimsy tape for the mesquite bushes it rubs against at times. I’ve had to reinforce it with duck tape in several places. It’s very thin. If you are going to use it every day, get something more robust. But if it’s to do a weekend job here or there then it’s probably good enough. The winder/holder it comes on is good quality and a good color to find it when you are done for the day.

Broke on second use
The tape on this might as well be made from tissue paper. It’s not made for fieldwork.
