X-Acto Heavy-Duty Narrow Angle Blades (EPIX202)

While I have a regular foldable razer knife for general crafts & DIY projects, I needed one with a much narrower & finer blade for cutting & trimming plastic for a model of the Titanic that I'm putting together. This retractable pen- knife is GREAT! I really like the top-button blade extender, as well as the small button on the side to retract it. It allows me to make precision cuts to remove small plastic parts from the parts sheets, as well as to trim them when needed when parts fit too tightly together. One word of caution - continue using a regular razor knife for large or longer cuts - this one really won't do as good a job in those situations.HIGHLY RECOMMENDED for modeling, or where small precision cuts are needed!

Happy to have found the replacement blades. My wife had thrown the knife away. I got it out of the waste basket and looked at it. Found the blade was replaceable. Then found this package of blades. My wife is now happy with the knife.

having this pen knife for many years ( I Imagine 25years) replacements have been few and far between, easier to use a regular knife,, that being said, these stuck when extended,,, took a drill bit and pliers and made the hole a bit bigger, works fine,, kinda costly for what they are though,, I think years ago, the plastic was harder, so it could have less diameter on the shaft but I am back in business..

Great that there are replacements for these retractable knife pens. One caveat; I have an older version I bought years ago. The newer models must have been redesigned because the blades wouldn't quite fit. A bit tight. I made them work though.

This is my favorite knife for crafting. It is smaller and allows more detailed trimming. It will snap easier so be careful. Great tool

Reports of fit issues were not borne out in my case. My 25+ year old (I think it's about 30, actually) X-Acto took the replacement blade without issue and works perfectly. Possibly worth noting the circular base is notched and needs to be seated in the correct direction.

Like other reviewers, I also had difficulty getting the blades to fit the older pen knife #209 (https://www.amazon.com/Retractable-Precision-Utility-Knife-Blade/dp/B072XVWQFW/ref=sr_1_5?keywords=X-acto+Retractable+Blade&qid=1565731667&s=gateway&sr=8-5)However this is the only replacements I could find online for it, so I bought them anyway to see if I could force them in.The replacement knifes fit in the older model, but with some effort. The problem is not getting them to fit, its that they will not retract smoothly (they get stuck). You need to trim around the plastic bottom base of each replacement knife with scissors. Take off enough and it will fit in nicely and not get stuck to the side of the pen shaft.Once you get them to fit they work as expected, nice and sharp!

This was my third times order #9RX Retractable Blade. I am a paper cutting artist, Tongs-paper-cutting.com . I did a lot of paper cutting pictures.The most paper cutting layers I have is about 6-8 layers for Chinese paper cutting Xuan paper, pretty easy to go through. I love this blade, it saved me a lot time try to sharp blades or find the right tools for my cuttings. I highly recommend this product and so as the pen knife, you will love it like I do.
