The media could not be loaded. Product: XLIn pictures/video - Subaru key fob and aftermarket car starter fob.***ONE MONTH UPDATE****- Got this just in time and it saved me from what could have been an emergency situation. I brought my dog to Lowes and after being outside for a while he was getting hot. I loaded him into the car so I could get the AC running soon and put some plants in the trunk. I accentally left my keys in the trunk of the SUV, and when I closed the trunk, the car locked. I was frantic because it was over 90 degrees and my already hot dog was now locked in the car windows up. I then remembered the second key tucked away in this case and was able to use it and open the car. It saved my dog's life and kept me from having to break/replace a window. This key case stayed securely attached to the underside of the vehicle frame through maintained dirt roads, long road trips, super gnarly storms with hurricane force wind gusts, and minor street flooding from severe storms. The key fob worked perfectly with no issues and was still dry.----------------------------Pros:- Fits a standard key fob (3.75 in L) no problem or is wide enough for an after market car starter fob- Magnets are super strong and stick easily to the frame of a vehicle without need of metal plate and requires effort to remove (nice and secure)- metal plate is great if needed for storage on a non-ferrous location- water/dust proof checks out so far - water stops at seals- clip for opening and closing is very secure- hole for lanyard is built in should you want to take this bring this to adventures in the waterCons- Magnets are very strong and may even attract to items within the case. Unknown if this will affect the electronics of the key fobs long term, but had no issues with key fob still working in the short time after it was in the case (will update review after time has passed)Other: people complaining about keys not fitting probably have the original size and may have failed to measure the length of their keys/fobs before purchasing (I failed to measure the first time and got another brand that ended up being too short by a 1/4inch, which is why I opted for this one).

Powerful magnet
Very powerful magnet and large enough to hold bulky car keys.

Works perfect I like the magnet

Works great!
The magnet on this is good and strong, no issues with it falling while driving. It fits my dodge fob and ford fob find but I would prefer it be a bit wider to accommodate a key ring.

Easy to conceal
I needed a concealed depository for my gate remote control so that if a friend needed to gain entrance to the back yard, she could access a remote on the premises. The remote fits securely in this case and it can be concealed on the back side of the fence without being seen from the street side.

WATERPROOF
I wear my cars key fob on a lanyard around my neck. In the past 12 years since I've owned the car, I've been unlucky enough to have "DIPPED" my car key into water killing it dead, dead, DEAD. This has happened when washing the car or otherwise not paying attention to the $$$ key around my neck. This is a very expensive mistake. I didn't learn the first time and cost me $180 to replace it, and have it reprogrammed. Now Its happened again. After buying the two needed transmitters (be here in a week) I'm determined not to E-V-E-R have this happen again. I don't trust the other gadget you put the fob into from the split back, and can push the buttons through a transparent plastic face without removing it. That vid of the fob being inserted showed me it wasn't waterproof. Maybe water resistant at best. I didn't want an overpriced plastic zip lock bag either. This Nite Ize is the closest thing that I could find in the hard waterproof category, and its 100% waterproof with a snap lock closure with a mechanical hinge with a stainless steel hinge pin connecting the top and bottom, and a fitted silicone gasket sealing the lid and the container. Plus, its kind of big and chunky but can be worn around the neck. The 2012 Ford Fiesta key fob transmitter fits. The Nite Ize is long enough but the fob rattles inside when moved from side to side. A dollar bill stuffed in along side the fob fixed the rattling. I removed the super-duper-strong magnets too. They press out easily without damaging the case. They're not needed here. I saved them just in case. I don't care about the size, or hiding it under the car, I want WATERPROOF. TA! DA! No more wet car transmitters to be replaced and reprogrammed!

Weak, almost non-existant magnetic strength
There's almost zero magnetic capability in this product. It's not a feature in my opinion which is disappointing. I was excited initially when I saw the 3M adhesive, thinking "Great idea, belt + suspenders approach..." but the magnets are so weak that I would not count it as a feature... it's almost non-existant. It would pick up a key ring - just the ring. But not also the keys attached to the ring because their combined weight is too great. Tried a pair of nail clippers, they also are attracted to the magnet, but too weighty to be picked up from the table by the magnet.
