Fortrezz Water and Temperature Sensor, Wireless, Z-Wave: Paired easily, user guide was OK.
I paired this Fortrezz device easily with the VeraLite home controller. The device was easy to configure in the VeraLite portal. The user guide was one sheet, and didn't give enough basic details. For example are the temperature metrics in Farenheit or Centigrade. The user guide described an LED light flashing, which was not on my device, but the device paired fine. The user guide mentioned setting the controller wake up for every 12 hours, but didn't provide any guidance on what to configure as the "polling interval" which is one of VeraLite's settings.I'll need to see whether it delivers temperature data consistently. It does not have a seal, so I'm going to have to put a bead of silicone caulk around the join on the case. And the screws that secure the case together are tiny electronics screws, which need an electronics screwdriver, not a big issue, but would be more convenient if these were larger screws that a standard phillips head could be used to install.

They mostly work. they often indicated a wet alarm in the bottom of my fridge, when it was actually dry.
They mostly work. I thought they would also tell the temperature, but it's only a "freeze alert" - or maybe that is the limitation of the device definition in whichever home automation system you have them installed. Also, more troublesome is the fact that in my testing, they often indicated a wet alarm in the bottom of my fridge, when it was actually dry. They just didn't work correctly at low temperature, typically 38F inside the fridge - both of the units I tried did the same thing. I confirmed there was no condensation inside or outside the device. So now I use them in warm spaces only.

Accurate Temperature Sensor
I bought this sensor for temperature monitor only so I don't have anything to rate on the water sensor. It works fine and connected to my Vera Lite with no problems (with a caveat). On the Vera side...if you're using User Interface 7 (UI7), the newest firmware version, you'll have problems with this sensor. The Vera continually showed a "can't connect device" error and one of the firmware releases took away the display of the temperature from the main device screen. You had to dig into the advanced options to see the temperature display. I also couldn't see the temperature on my iPhone using the Vera app. Once I downgraded my Vera unit to UI5 the problems went away. I only mention this in case others are trying to get this to work with a Vera Lite running UI7. The problems were with the Vera firmware, not this sensor.I placed the sensor next to my HVAC thermostat and the temperature reading was exactly the same so based on this information I'd say it's accurate.

Cannot report temperature when it is integrated with SmartThings
I have tried three Z-Wave water leak detection sensors: (1) Everspring Z-Wave Water/Flood Sensor, (2) Fortrez Water and Temperature Sensor, and (3) SmartThings SmartSense Moisture SensorGood things about this: It said it is water proof. However, I never dare to try.Bad things about this: (1) It does not reports temperature when I integrate it into SmartThings. (2) Its form factor, although still acceptable, is larger than SmartThings SmartSense Moisture Sensor. It is an OK product, but I won't buy it again and won't recommend it to others.

Good sensor, but gives false alarms once in a while
It works well with VeraLite. No problems connecting and setting up. I have the sensor for about a year now, and changed batteries probably 3-4 times. Th only issue is false alarms. So far, twice it gave false alarms (which in my case cut water to the house), probably because of some moisture condensation or cold, or some other reason - I have it installed inside wall under valve to exterior connection.

This has been installed on top of my sump pump ...
This has been installed on top of my sump pump cover for just over 14 months now. It has alarmed once, the cause of the alarm was actually a slow drip from the water main valve which happens to be located over the sump crock. The original battery is in the unit and it's at about 50%, can't complain about battery life.

Good device, but the short battery life is a problem
The sensor itself works as described, detects water and reports the temperature. My biggest issue with this device is the battery life. It is just not long enough to make it a usable device for me. I would not buy it again and would not recommend it to a friend. It works with SmartThings, the temperature information is not supported and it did not notify me either when it ran out of battery power.

water on electronic is not a good idea. Expensive to replace
Does what it says however once it get wet it does nto work any longer. Go figure, water on electronic is not a good idea. Expensive to replace. I went ahead and purchased a $8 alamr water detector , however it was not ZWAVE. However the alarm was very loud
