Great quality for the price! I take off the gasket and use it for sourdough starter and it is GREAT! So easy to reach inside because of the wide mouth and super easy to mix and clean because there aren’t grooves at the top. And it has that classic cottage kitchen style looks super cute on the counter. It’s plenty big for my sourdough. Love it.

I really love these jars. I use them for sourdough and also as condiment containers, and they work great for both. The lids and clips work very well, they are very easy to clean, and I have put them in the dishwasher with no issues. I haven’t had any chips, cracks, or problems with them. They are useful, sturdy, and exactly what I needed.

I really love these Weck tulip jars for sourdough starter. The 1-liter size is perfect for an active starter and gives plenty of room for rise without overflow. The glass is thick, sturdy, and high quality, and I love that it’s clear so I can easily track bubbles and growth. They’re easy to clean and feel very durable, definitely a big upgrade from random jars. Con: The jars are on the heavier side, especially once filled, so they’re not ideal if you plan to move them around often or store them on a high shelf. Overall, a great investment for anyone serious about sourdough. I’d definitely buy them again.

I am very new to sourdough and bought these jars after seeing them recommended on some videos. After using regular canning-type jars and a starter jar from a kit, I can say these jars are far superior. This 1-liter jar is perfect for the starter I need to make a 750g loaf. The teardrop shape makes it easy to incorporate all of the starter ingredients. I do admit that the clips, if you use them, and the rubber seal do take some getting used to, but it's not enough to bring this rating down to a 4.

Very nice quality. Keep in mind they are 1 LITER each in size so bigger than a quart! They measure 6 tall and the top rim is 4" in diameter. The metal clips are a little annoying, but I'm assuming they will hold their shape. You just have to make sure they don't launch themselves across the kitchen when you are attaching them. Shape of jars is good for getting stuff of the bottom; glass covers w/gaskets seem well made. Overall appearance is very nice.

These jars are so versatile and well made. I use them for my sourdough starter as well as for making homemade yogurt. They seal well and are dishwasher safe!

I bought this product to start my sourdough journey, and I was really happy with it at first. The glass jars are great and feel nice and sturdy. The only problem I had was with the orange rubber seal. I couldn't get it to stay in place, and it always seemed too big for the lid, so it wouldn't seal properly. I ended up using it as the rubber band to mark my starter's rise instead, and it actually works perfectly for that!

These are a great size. Great to use lovely to look at.

This 1L is the same height as the 850ml version, but with a wider mouth and wider bottom to allow the additional capacity. The consistency in height makes it easier to store with the other Weck Jars for those who ferment often. Great addition to the line-up of already existing pickling jars. Weck jars are our favourite go to for fermenting as the gasket and metal clips keep air from entering but allow built up gas to escape which eliminates the need to having to burp the jars often. All in all, great quality and function. Also looks aesthetically pleasing to add to the pantry.
