Sony DSX-M55BT Marine Media Receiver with Bluetooth and CPS SRC2 Wired Marine Remote for Sony Radios

I'm using this in my 19' center console boat, mounted in a dry enclosure. I have a 600wamp that I run the "rear" speakers thru, using the receiver for the top speakers...Sound is great, also bought the wired remote...works great and appears very durable. I hook it up Bluetooth with my phone(on water has limited FM), so as soon as a turn it on it finds my phone and goes from there with my music apps. Also has a lot of other features, I probably won't use but may be useful if I sell it. Anyway, wouldn't hesitate, appears to be a well designed marine system, reasonably priced...I grew up putting stereo's in auto's when I was a kid, so would recommend professional install unless you have some experience, or at least watch a you tube video first!

Replaced a 2004 Sony. Was able to reuse existing harness, remote cable and amplifier cables; made for a very easy install in our boat. No more iPod adapters needed, just Bluetooth. So convenient and sounds great.

Very frustrating to install. Since it was an updated model from my previous Sony, I assumed it would have been a plug and play. Instead needed to RE wire each of the colored wires each with heat sleeves. Long process. Should be simple plug.
