I turned my attention to a refillable A5 book cover by chance, after the range of leather A5 covers piqued my interest. The deal-breaker to me is the pen holder. I wanted one that sat the pen inside the holder. Rival designs sat the pen outside, and with my clumsy disposition, that sort of relationship would never work for me. The pen holder on the sovereign-gear Tree for life is hosted too near the top. Fine for the supplied pen, but not if you use your own pen as my favoured pen sticks out over the top of the cover. The supplied pen is gorgeous looking but for me, the pen holder just needs to be placed further down to accommodate bigger pens.  A positive is that the flap that hosts the pen is wide enough to be used as a bookmark.When it comes to the design I totally love the words, "The family is god's greatest....", but less so about the accompanying imagery as I'm not a Christian. The slogan and the lovely leather won out, particularly as part of my purchase goes into practical work in Africa. With handling, the cover suffers from occasional minor scratches, but a quick rub soon removes these. You will notice its sweet smell of leather. It is totally gorgeous.The leather wrap around strap that acts as its "lock" gives the book an old-world feel, but it works. Though you can't bundle it up out of sight once you've opened the cover.On a practical note, any A5 booklet can be slotted into the holder with ease. I've experimented with a thicker A5 book, and the cover accommodated it with no issues. The supplied plain paper is of no use to me, but that is why I purchased a refillable cover. With the few caveats noted, I would not hesitate to recommend this A5 book cover to anyone who sought such a cover for their A5 book. I love using it, and any excuse to do so is welcomed.

Bought as Christmas present for a friend , it is a very beautiful and high quality journal. I wanted to buy something that the person it was for would like to to keep for memories and as a keepsake. She was very pleased with the journal. Ideal for anyone who likes to keep a journal of their thoughts and ideas.

This journal is just what I wanted . The leather is soft and good quality .It makes it more special with the verse on the front . It was a birthday gift from the family .It is also great that you can re fill with paper . Many journals do not have this option .

This is a beautiful, leather covered journal. The leather is very soft, as buffalo leather usually is, and the embossing is tasteful. The paper and pen are of excellent quality. I recommend this item.
