What is the difference between a mineral sunscreen and chemical sunscreen?

Mineral sunscreen creates a barrier that deflects UV rays from the skin’s surface and stops them from penetrating. A chemical sunscreen penetrates into the skin and absorbs the sun's rays, where they are converted into heat and then released.

Can you use mineral sunscreen on a baby?

Because of their vulnerable skin, pediatricians recommend babies be kept out of the sun as much as possible for the first 6 months. After that, they can start wearing sunscreen for extra protection. Our formula is supremely gentle and non-irritating.

How best to use sunscreen?

Apply generously from head to tiny toes fifteen minutes before sun exposure. Reapply at least every 2 hours and use a water-resistant sunscreen if swimming or sweating. Limit sun exposure especially from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m.
