Is the power cord on this pump round or a standard cord? I need one that has a thin round cord. Can the power cord be seperated in the middle?

What size tubing do I use with this pump?

I bought 3/8" from a package on Amazon. It's a bit loose on the pump but I made it work because I have the tubing running up into the fountain and was able to kind of force it to stay in place. 5/16" would have been better.
