I've been a knife fan since I got my first pocketknife, but quickly learned to hate poor quality knives of any type. This one just feels quality, looks great, and holds its edge. My wife keeps putting in the dishwasher (STOP IT!) but a couple quick passes on a stone and it's good as new again. I would say it's as "dishwasher safe" as any knife... but no knife should, because the rattling around will dull if not damage the edge.Finish using, immediately wipe and rinse and back in the block.I gave it 4 stars for value because I'd definitely say it's overpriced for the quality pragmatically speaking... but if you want a fancy looking knife it's worth it.

This is one of the best starter knives I've come across. The price point is amazing at $62 for the chef knife and paring knife. I have lot of knives but I've gifted this set a few times and have a set in my collection. You can buy this set with confidence.

well, if you know anything about steel, you know this is going to chip if your not super careful. In knives you either get super sharp and chips, or easily sharpened but dulls quickly. this knife chips, isn't super easy to sharpen, but keeps a nice sharp edge if maintained.

Every adult should own a good set of knifes. These are amazing and so glad I finally spent “a little” more for them. I already started buying other ones like the cleaver.

You can spend more on a knife but it would be hard for me to believe it would be any better quality, these are amazing

It’s a great tool for the kitchen! Makes preparing vegetables a joy! Only problem is the size of the handle-a little big for small hands
