My poor guy still has his winter coat but he is really handsome sporting his new halter! It was dusk by the time I opened the box but I couldn’t resist going back down to the paddock to try it on!! I was so happy with the packaging and finishing touches (all cleaned and conditioned). Special care was taken to keep the engraved plate beautiful. Thank you to the poster who added Loved by… I stole that idea and I couldn’t be happier with the engraving and halter. I usually feel the nylon halters don’t fit well but this halter exceeds my expectations in fit and ease of haltering. I had to go to the last shortest hole to have it fit but fit it did! The nose band is right where it should be - not hanging down in the soft part of the nose. I adjusted both buckles for an even fit. The leather is amazing and the neck strap is contoured to fit behind the cheek bone and lays so nicely. I am thrilled and can’t wait to have a minute to look at their other products! I would love a neck strap. Excellent purchase - excellent company - great shopping experience.

I’ve purchased several of these leather halters and have been really happy with them. I originally bought them for fitting my yearlings and presenting them in the sale ring, and they give such a clean, professional look without being overly bulky. I liked them enough that I also purchased one for my stallion to wear while he’s standing at the stallion station. It looks sharp enough for photos and visitors, but it’s also practical for everyday handling. The leather looks nice, the fit has been great on different horses, and overall they make a horse look polished and put together. I’ll definitely continue buying these as I need more.

This is only me second haler purchae but I plan on getting two more with names for each of my horses. It is excellent quality leather (like Walsh) and has been holding up over time. I love the warmblood/large horse size for my big 5 year old...this size has worked where others have failed in size and correct fit.

Halter leather quality is great. Could not be happier. Just be careful when you order to ensure the description is matching the pictured item. For example if you want a side clip you must select that. My mistake I guess.

These halters are one of those things I almost want to gatekeep. As a lover of the Walsh triple stitch, nothing else has stacked up. Walsh is expensive but quality, and everything cheaper ages poorly and looks cheap. These have been my favorite find. The leather is soft, a beautiful dark reddish brown, and they last! I have bought this halter three times now. I live in a rainy place, and these halters hang on pasture hooks all day long in the rain, and dry just as soft and beautiful. They fit my warmblood heads perfectly. Absolute 10/10, please never stop selling these. I got a nameplate this time & it’s perfect too!

When I received the halter, I was amazed at the quality of the thick soft leather. The only way to describe it is "buttery." It also arrived in about a week--surprisingly fast for a customized product. Unfortunately, the size I ordered was WAAAY too big for my half Arabian. I reached out to customer service hoping they would help, but not really expecting much because it was my fault for ordering the wrong size. Within 24 hours, Kristen from Ocala Leather's customer service responded and said all I had to do was send it back, and they would attach the nameplate to a cobb-size halter! The new halter fits perfectly. Every time someone at the barn compliments the halter, I can't help but tell them about my wonderful experience. I will DEFINITELY order more items from this first-rate company again.

This is a beautifully crafted leather halter by a company with great customer service. Measuring: Before ordering, I measured my TB mare's nylon halter and the measurements were so different from both the cob and horse sizes, that I sent them to Tack Shack of Ocala and asked for advice. I received a response immediately recommending the cob size. Ordering: The ordering process is easy and quick. Shipping: fast The product: The halter is perfect. I am so glad I asked about the sizing as the COB size fits perfectly. The leather is soft and flawless. The nameplate is perfect. The adjustable chin strap is quite long for my mare, but she does have a very narrow head and I expected something like that. I am considering cutting the leather down a bit, so I don't have so much sticking out. You can see the excess strap on one of the photos.

This is really quality leather, soft and supple, tight stitching. It seemed like a low price and I didn't have high expectations, but this halter is nicer than ones I've paid twice as much for. Definitely getting one for the other horse too. I used only one line of the engraving and the preview screen showed me it would be written as if there were two lines of text, with the name on the top half of the plate and the bottom half empty. I still figured for the price I could just replace the nameplate if it looked too weird, but it came with the one line the full height of the plate. Very quality product.
