When it arrived, I was happy with it, but I know now that it's not going to last nearly as long as previous leashes. I really like the adjustable feature. That's why we purchased one of these for each of our dogs, even though they currently have leashes that are over 20 years old (inherited from our previous dogs) that still look brand new. My dogs do not chew on their leashes. The leashes have their own storage spot, where nothing rubs against them. Yet, this brand of leash is getting 'fuzzy'. I don't know how else to explain it. It's not quite a 'fraying', but they are definitely breaking down in some way. They have not been laundered or anything that would have caused this type of thing. One of my dogs is a 70 lb. lab, another is a 45 lb. mix, and the smallest is a 17 lb. Pomeranian/Chihuahua mixed. They have been walked an average of 4 times a week for about 7 months with these leashes (each with the size of leash that was appropriate for their size), and the leashes look old and worn.They are not a bad leash, while they last, but I won't be buying this brand again. I like things for my dogs that are long lasting and durable. I worry about the durability of a leash that is evidently not made of high quality materials. While our dogs do not pull while walking, we do have 2 squirrel chasers (out of the 3 dogs) that give that little test jerk when they spot one of those critters. We don't want to take the risk of our dogs getting hit by a car or even just tromping through people's yards, gardens, etc. during a merry dash after a squirrel. We need dependable leashes, and I'm not satisfied that we're going to be able to rely on these for much longer.I love the adjustability. We walk our dogs on a 6' leash around town. Some places that allow dogs (the renaissance faire that we go to each fall) requires 4' or shorter, though. So, it's been nice to have the adaptability. It's not worth it, though, if I can't be confident in the strength of the leashes. In my searches, I couldn't find very many adjustable leashes that had good reviews. I might just have to tie knots in their old but durable leashes or find some other way of making them shorter when needed. Safety before convenience, I guess.

Padded handle, adjustable length, D-ring for poopie bag holder and is a nice medium size. The stores only had tiny little dog or big dog leashes with the huge metal clasp on them. The Hyhug comes with a great and not too big quick clip that just slaps on to the collar or harness super easy and comes off just as well. This is perfect for my 25lb Corgi Hiro, probably work on a larger dog, but I can't say because I only have the one dog! P.S. I left the darned thing on the roof and ran back inside to get something and drove off. Not lost due to failure or any fault of the leash.

I have never written a bad review for a product, but this leash is so dangerous that I want to warn people about it. I have a large rambunctious Afghan puppy and he has come off leash 3 times. When I reach down close to his collar, the slightest touching of the clip opens it. Fortunately it has happed in my yard. I finally threw it away. I now have leashes with the clip that has the slide mechanism and they work very well

It’s a very high quality leash, made out of good quality materials. The handle is covert comfortable and the padding isn’t too thick to make it awkward to hold. The clasp is not like the one in the picture, it’s a normal clasp with the little latch you pull back to open the clip. I will be returning it because I was looking for a leash that I could take from “normal” length to “short.” The length of this one is exactly as advertised, but that really feels more like it goes from “long” to “regular.” The two things I don’t love about it are 1) it’s a very deep red, not a bright primary color type of red. It did not match my dog’s other red things. And 2) when it’s adjusted to be shorter, the doubled-over straps make a big floppy loop. It has one keeper to hold the straps together, but it would be nice if it had two or three to space out along the doubled-over straps.

I just received this leash 3 days ago and have used it 3 times to walk my lab. It is a heavy duty leash and the handle is padded, so easy to use. I like that it can be lengthened but have not used this feature yet. In one year I will write another review as will really know how good this leash is at that time.

I prefer the way this one clips onto the loop. I simply press one side, which opens and I can slip the open hook over the metal loop. However, my husband prefers the kind that you have to slide a little knob back for the clip to open. I find that type more difficult to use, especially when our pooch squirms a little, eager to get walking.It looks very nice with his similarly colored harness and sweater.

Quality material and a good length. I like the padded handle and the clip seems sturdy. Overall well satisfied.

I wanted this leash for my kitteh, who's been using a 5 foot leash. I let her go further in some brush, so wanted a longer leash. It's a teeny bit heavier than her shorter one, but she doesn't seem to mind at all. Extremely well-made, great price for the quality! I got her hot pink to go with her hot pink harness. Didn't want people thinking she was a boy, lol!

I really love this lead. It’s strong, easy on your hands (I’ve got an Airedale puppy who is a bit of a handful) and I love the fact that it’s adjustable in length. I’m really tempted to buy the matching collar too because the quality of this lead is so good! Definitely the best lead I’ve bought.

Looks good and does the job. Not especially cheap for what it is.
