Very well made and the packaging should hold up well without tearing inadvertently.On the advise of a friend who is a nurse I did open one to practice - he said brands can be a bit different and to make sure you are familiar with them BEFORE you need them. These are easy to use and they didn’t appear to cut corners so now I feel comfortable buying more of this brand to keep a couple in vehicles and such.

The Israeli bandage is a must have for real first aid to dress open wounds or aid in controlling bleeding. An IFAK isn't an IFAK without it. This bandage is a well known combat dressing, but there is a small learning curve. Therefore, I recommend actually using one; consider an extra for training purposes just to familiarize yourself with it before you NEED one.On a separate note, I would recommend seeking additional training through the Stop The Bleed program if you can. Israeli bandages, a dedicated tourniquet, some packing, and a little training will go about as far as normal humans can to control bleeding without higher levels of medical training and equipment.HIGHLY Recommended.

Very easily a literal life saver; easy to use and deploy with one hand. I keep one in every kit and bag I have, and I had to use it once to help someone in a crash and once on myself after a nasty spill while hiking.
