GRAIN PROTEIN POWDER!
This protein powder is a blend of grains that mixes well and also blends well into smoothies - delicious with Soy milk. It is too sweet for blending to savoury sauces, so a natural neutral flavour would be welcome.A good produce at a good price and with good eco packaging.

Absolutely terrible
Look, protein powder needs to do 3 simple things: blend well with liquid, not be awful and be easy to digest.This thing fails on all fronts.Good luck trying to mix it with water / milk, all you'll get are a bunch of lumps in your bottle. The texture, too, is absolutely awful: I have 1 scoop of protein with my porridge in the morning, and this thing turned it into a slimy lumpy soup. Even when you drink it just with water or milk, it feels like you're drinking plaster.The flavor is just bad; I bought the vanilla one and I struggled to recognise it to be honest. Sure, better than those extra-chemical vanilla flavors, but this barely taste like anything.Finally, I also felt it was a lot heavier on my stomach than the standard whey proteins. I'll definitely stick to those.

Good quality protein with a decent flavour
I've tried a lot of vegan (and other protein) shakes and this is the on that I keep coming back to. Either the Banana Caramel or the Chocolate Peanut, I've not tried the others yet.It mixes well, but needs a good shake otherwise it can be a little 'grainy' in texture, not that that is an issue.My recovery times after exercise seem to be as good as ever, but above all it does not have the problems associated with egg or whey protein namely gas and does not cause any stomach problems.

Good protein product - due to weight 1kg lasts only five days
I’ll start by saying this is a good vegan protein product that tastes about as good as you can expect from the ingredients and contains a good amount of well-balanced complete protein from a variety of mixed sources. However, comparing this with whey or whey isolate a 1KG bag lasts almost no time at all when consuming 2 shakes a day (for me: one in the morning upon waking, and one later in the day after training) - presently, I received the full bag five days ago and it is almost empty. This is because the product is heavier and denser than Whey protein or Whey Protein Isolate (WPI). As the product is sold be weight 1kg results in a smaller overall product size than a 1kg bag of whey. This is coupled with the fact that the suggested serving size to reach 23g of protein is larger than the whey and WPI serving size which results in going through the protein faster. Still a good product and it’s slightly cheaper than whey protein isolate, and of course if Vegetarian or Vegan it’s definitely worth it for the extra protein boost.-UPDATE- after a few months of use.I thought I would provide an update after a few months of use. Unfortunately, I'm returning to Whey Protein Isolate (WPI). My recovery has just not been the same -at all- after switching to this brand of Vegan protein. While I honestly really wanted to make the switch to a Vegan sourced protein, I've found myself waking up in the night with sore muscles in my back and shoulders after a heavy training session (DOMS), which I don't get if I consume 50g of WPI after working out. I think the combination of protein sources in this is technically a complete protein, but after doing some further reading, I'm not sure it is as usable or as bioavailable as with Whey products. If this has worked, I would definitely have continued using this over WPI - as would have liked to eat more Vegan products vs. Whey, but in terms of the hit to recovery switching to this has had over my training, and training volume and consistency - It's just not possible.

My favourite Bulk protein powder
I have found that the prices for Bulk's protein powders can vary wildly based on flavour alone; one that is about £12/kg can suddenly become £20/kg when it's time to reorder. As such, I look around and buy whichever is cheapest at the time. This time it was the vegan powder, vanilla flavour. It was the first time I'd tried a shake based on pea protein. The reviews were mixed, with some saying it tastes horrible and is grainy. I don't care - it serves a purpose and enjoyment isn't top of the list. As it happens, I love it. The taste is biscuity; think plain digestive or perhaps custard cream. The powder seems to disperse and create a 'suspension in solution' rather than dissolve. This does indeed make for a thicker-than-water drink with a powdery feel. This I enjoy too. It's not much different from being creamy and I do look forward to drinking it. I would like to buy this one again when it runs out but I see that the price has already jumped from £11.96 to £21.92. Hopefully it will come down again.

Cheap, so is the taste unfortunately
I am always searching for a good tasting reasonably priced vegan protein. Nothing comes close to Form Nutrition in terms of taste, however it's expensive. This stuff is cheap, but lacks taste. It's not horrendous, but tastes very watery. The peanut is very overpowering, but I don't mind that. For me the consistency is just not right. When you mix a scoop in 200ml of water as recommended it just tastes like peanut flavoured water. It was ok with almond milk. It comes in biodegradable paper packaging which is good,but it was damaged when I opened the parcel. Overall,you get what you pay for I am afraid.

Tastes off
There are many great vegan proteins available now but this is not one of them. The texture is really chalky, almost like drinking sand, and you end up left with this chalky mess at the bottom as the protein doesn’t mix with the milk/water. The taste is difficult to describe but it’s not good and is totally overpowered by the sensation that someone has just thrown a spadeful of sand in your face at the beach and you are trying to get it out of your mouth by drinking some water. I should have read the reviews!
