I have several other grass mat potty trays, and although they are very convenient, I would have to rinse them every day and they still stunk up the house. This design is wonderful, so far there is no foul smell and it is so easy to empty the pull out tray. I just add some water and dump it in the toilet.It is very thick sturdy material, better quality then my other trays. I highly recommend it.

We have a 12 week puppy and the trainer is working great for those early mornings and late nights when I don't want to go out in our cold Wisconsin winter weather. She still is happy to "go" on real grass later in the day. My only complaint is the urine is held in the turf for a while and she tracks wet paws off the matte. If you use it inside, be aware of your pup tracking pee. I would not think this would work for a larger dog, even for my tiny pup, sometimes her little rear hangs off the edge and the floor gets a present.

I love this trainer. I have a 10 year old Maltese that is now afraid to go out in the dark after a head on encounter with a possum. So, I got this tray, put it in the garage and she used it the very first evening! I was so surprised since she was used to using the doggie door. Since I rely on a cane to get around It is easy to take out the collection tray, and empty it in the toilet. Then on yard work days, I take it outside and hose it all down.

Great for my small apartment that doesn't out door space. Would recommend it

Yea, hated this 100%. We got this to help transition our yorkie puppies from potty pads to going outdoors, but as soon as I opened the box my heart sank because little pieces of green turf plastic were shedding all over the place. I held out hope until I put it in their indoor enclosure, where they promptly descended upon it and began tearing out the turf and trying to eat it. I gave it a good brushing and even vacuumed it beforehand to get rid of all the loose pieces, and covered it in port pads to hide the grass (therefore defeating the purpose) but this thing is just terribly made - it says MADE IN CHINA in huge letters and it shows. Returning it!

But after a few days the green carpet does stink. If you are in an apartment it would be hard to clean every couple of days. I would not want to wash it in my tub!. I was lucky enough to be able to take out and hose down and let the sun dry it. Come with a very loose knitted artificial grass which works great. I went to Home Depot and purchased spare pieces to use while the original grass was drying outdoors or until I could get to washing it, but what I found and used was too dense and the liquid just stays on top of the grass and does not seep down through to the bottom collection tray.As a side note: My dog is now 10 months older and will only go to the bathroom on green grass outside now because that is what he learned on. I live in the city and Sometimes I need him to poop or pee on a public road or concrete sidewalk and he won't. I am glad that I bought this system, it was handy to have.

good thing about it is that my puppy learned really quick how to use the potty patch the downside to it is that the grass when you wash it it doesn’t really wash out the smell for good and if you keep it in the house it can be annoying the smell. Also puppy rejects peeing on it after about 10 days because it smells too bad and as much as you wash it it won’t wash out so I bought replacements and I’m replacing it each time she refuses to use it but it can get expensive I’ll probably go with the real grass
