Rugged, reliable tent for hunters
I've used this tent a few times this season for hunting and golfing (camped out at bethpage) and I'm very impressed with the quality. Of note, I camped out in the field under significant wind gusts and the tent didn't budge at all.I like that the floor is thick and is meant to withstand foot traffic and equipment.Size: i dont really understand how people rate tents for size, but here is my experience with the 10x14. It is perfect, ideal, and spacious for 2 adults: cots, hunting gear, a cooler, a GSP hunting dog, and a propane 12k btu heater. honestly if you camp exclusively as 2 people, the 10x10 would be sufficient. however, in my 10x14, a 3rd adult w/gear would fit fine, and 4th would start to get tight (probably my limit barring an unusual situation/emergency). My preference though is if I'm taking the time to set up a large tent over a smaller backpacking tent, I want to have space and more comforts. If you are a family of 4-6, this tent would be for you.Weight: The total package is 80 lbs, but it breaks down into tent (~45 pounds in a nice carry sack), poles, and stakes. One person can load it into the truck/car in 2 trips easy.Setup: Very simple set-up, probably takes 5 minutes. Even less if you have help. Breakdown is even faster. If you are going to camp out, do it right. Shelter is not the place to skimp, or else you may wake up at 2 am watching your tent fly away in wind gust and spend an hour in the pitch dark trying to wrangle it in.... Teton Mesa is great and worth the extra money. I would buy it again and I recommend it.

14" Mesa initial setup, all looks great.
Initial setup for wet seasoning of the canvas went without a hitch, which is a necessary step for the waterproofing of canvas tents. This is a quite heavy tent, as evidenced by the canvas material and steel poles. The box it comes in is definitely a team lift but individual parts can be managed by one, with the tent canvas itself being the heaviest. Stakes and poles are steel and very robust. A very close inspection revealed no concerns about quality and apparent durability. Stitching was perfect and very few remnants of scrap thread pieces from the manufacturing process were found. Setup by one person can easily be done but with two it would go much faster. All zippers worked fine but the doors are a little snug which I imagine will smooth out a little with use over time. The floor is thick and rubberized and appears very durable even without using a footprint underneath. This is definitely a car camping tent as it would be very cumbersome and difficult to carry into an area for remote camping due to its weight. This was purchased for hunting and fishing in an area we can easily drive to with ATV's and I have no concerns at all about its long term performance at this point. We will have 2 adults with cots and quite a bit of gear, and it appears there will still be plenty of room potentially for a third cot, maybe a chair or two. With proper care and maintenance, I can see this lasting for years to come. Users of these type tents must be very mindful never to pack them away with any indications of moisture being present due to mold issues these tents can experience, unlike nylon or polyester tents. Always pack and store them completely dry.

Teton 10 by 14 Mesa Canvas Tent
This is a great tent. This camping trip was my first use of the tent. Nothing was missing from my order. It is straight forward and easy to pitch. It is a heavy tent so it helps to have help pitching it. Once pitched I checked it over closely. I found no flaws and workmanship was impeccable. Zippers are nice and heavy. There are two very large doors. There was plenty of wind for the two camping days. Wind ranged from 11 to 17 mph gusts. We just laughed at the wind. Nothing came close to blowing away. I bought this tent because of the $100.00 discount. Free shipping and the ability to spread the payments over 18 months with no interest. I really love this tent. I also purchased the ground cloth/ tarp and highly recommend that accessory.

So far so good!
Bought this tent as my "forever" tent after months of research and financial planning. I absolutely love this thing. I'm only 5'2" and while it didn't go straight up like my other instant tents (obviously, just what I'm used to) it really wasn't too bad to put up or take down myself. Seasoning it I think was the hardest part because it's definitely waterproofed but after about 30 or so minutes I finally got water to soak in. My intention was to set it up for a day, season it the next, then let it dry for another day just to be sure then pack it up, but it ended up raining on and off after the initial soak for about a week so it stayed up in my backyard the entire time. I checked on it daily and even in the heavier rains it didn't leak a single drop. It was very sturdy in the gusts of wind we were having. My only bugaboo about this tent is the center bar rests on top of the canvas roof rather than "float" above it, but it's possible that's something on my end.

Buy once and take care of it.
Just got today. Set it up and treated it with water as they say to do. Checked the inside for thread issues as I saw some post on you tube. Nope, none with mine, it's top notch tent. Very happy with it's quality/workmanship. My wife loves it as well. I don't camp much but sense I'm retired now plan to do much of it. I could have bought a much cheaper priced tent but only wanted to do this 1 time so I went with canvas. It's heave but not planing on back packing it, just some out door home use and camp grounds. I bought the 14x10, much larger than needed for 2 people but lots of room and the price diff is not much. It seems to be nice. If you buy one of these Mesa tents, just make sure you set it up right away to check it out before you really go camping in it to make sure it all good.

High quality
We bought two of these. They are great! They are roomy- we had large cots in them. They are pretty easy to set up, although the last pole can be difficult. They are expensive, but less than other brands, and still feel high quality. We’ve set them up about 10 times.

Not wind tolerant and poor Quality stitching
Just got to take the Teton mesa 14 to the mountains on a spring turkey hunt, we set it and noticed a lot of threads loose tags on the tent for the first thing second the wind started blowing and i would say around 20 with gusts at around 35 to 40, the tent looked like it was going to blow down, at one end of the roof the tent started slipping on the rods and acted like it was going to rip the fabric needless to say we had to take it down and pack it in, it totally ruined our hunt, so if you expect this to hold up in any kind of wind you will be very disappointed as I am, if I could have returned it I would have but my 30 day window was up by the time I got to use it, please look elsewhere

Supper nice tent
First off the tent arrived on time and the footprint, I believe this tent was a returned item because the box was torn up and retapped and after inspection there was no stakes, I had some cheap tent stakes from another tent so I proceeded to set up the tent, and in doing so one of the shock cords broke from the cheap stakes I had, but after the tent was set up it looked fine and undamaged . So I contacted customer support and they where great and offered a replacement of the whole tent or a refund , I opted to keep the tent and got a partial refund ... I contacted Teton sports to see about getting the tent stakes because this tent needs the heavy duty tent stakes... I’m still waiting on reply , it rained here last night really heavy and windy and the tent didn’t leak a drop , just a little condensation and that’s it so I’m very pleased with the tent and looking forward to many adventures with it.. and I would purchase this tent again and would recommend it also...Update; Teton sports contacted me and sent me a set of stakes, super cool, I also bought some heavy duty thick steel stakes from Walmart just in case these bend like another reviewer described
