I never write reviews but hope this helps someone. I had my gallbladder removed since 2002 or so and ever since have needed to be on cholostyrimine for excess bile and have been living on over 8 Imodium a day since then with no help. Constant diarrhea and always worried to go out in public without looking for where bathrooms are located and skipped alot of plans going out in general. Missed so many things with friends & family for decades. Ibs-d is what my GI Dr has stated. Dicyclomine for cramps. I started taking this for 1 week now and have even gone out to eat on day 4 and ate some foods I usually stay away from. For the past 6 days i have had normal movements and no diarrhea. Not to be graphic but this stuff has changed my life. Its only week one, & ill edit this or add another review in a month. Oh, also told I have leaky gut. Lastly, yes i have had colonoscopy's every 4-5yrs for past 30 years. Try this supplement if you suffer as I have been for so long. Good luck!

After going through a digestive issue and subsequent therapies, the dietician recommended Butyrin and specifically this one. IT has helped immensely with regularity, bloating and overall just a happy gut!

A good product. Its worth a try. Its still to early to be more informative. So far it seems to work well.

Before I try a new supplement, I make sure that there are no dietary changes for me for two weeks. I also make certain that includes no other new supplements. I juice my own vegetable juices daily, eat clean (no processed foods, alcohol, processed sugar, artificial sugar, red meats, pork, gluten). So this product that I was introducing (tributrin) had a clean slate for evaluation. One day in, all felt fine, no indicator of anything negative or positive. Second day in is where I began to become what felt like more regular with stools. That was a desirable effect, as I work very hard to keep my system working at top level, and work out everyday, drink required water etc. That said, on the second day of this dosage when I went to bed, I woke up super alert, experiencing insomnia. That was at 2 am. I lay awake relaxed for the next hour, until I noticed an unexpected (I was reclining and relaxed) increase in heart rate. I waited, and that did not abate. Then I removed myself from bed, careful not to wake others (husband and pooches) and went into the bathroom. I went again and again #2. I checked my heart rate on my husbands blood pressure monitor and it was way up from my normal 55 per minute rate, and also had an elevated blood pressure reading of 138, from my very steady norm of 105. Some neck pain was added to the situation at that point. I am posting this here as a caution. Not all may experience this, but I did. Had I known there were cautions I may have started off with one every other day to see if there was a backlash. Needless to say I will not be taking this anymore and was rather concerned with this, and annoyed that it followed me into the following day with cleaning out taking place through afternoon. The reason I took this is because I have mild diverticular issues that would benefit from the reported healing actions of Butyrate. I will instead, stay with my tried and true lifestyle changes and slippery elm which is extremely protective and healing of gut issues. Very disappointed in this product, in the sense that there aren't precautions listed in the online product information.
