SUNER POWER 10 Watt Solar Panel Powered Charger Kit + Tubular Mount Bracket for Automatic Gate Opener, Electrical Fence, etc

Shoremaster and lake lite wanted over $350 for solar panel kit for boat lift. A new shoremaster lift mate friction wheel was priced at $1,095. This was ridiculous and decided to do it myself for cheaper.Purchased this solar panel with mounting kit and it works great. I bought 3/4 metal conduit 7 feet long from homedepot for $7. The end of the circular mounting bracket for solar panel fits nicely down inside conduit. I drilled in 1 self tapper screw to make sure it doesn’t rotate. I attached conduit to boat lift upright post with 2 post clamps left over from battery box. I purchased extreme max boat lift battery holder from homedpot online for $76.27 including tax. It comes with 2 self tapping screws which I used to attach it to the post. I purchased a used 12v shoremaster lift mate friction wheel on Facebook marketplace for $200. The switch on lift motor was broken. I purchased a HQRP Toggle compatible with ultra fab switch for a frame trailer tongue hack off Amazon for $14.78 and it works perfectly. I already had battery and battery terminal posts. All told I spent $362.80 instead of $1,445 that shoremaster/lake lite would have charged.

We use this solar panel to keep our camper batteries topped off while it is not in use or if we are boondocking somewhere. Simple to use. Comes with three separate types of connections to choose from and we are able to just leave the one side of the harness connected to the batteries all the time. The cord from the panel is plenty long as well. Very easy to disconnect and put the panel in the camper for when we travel. We mounted it to the propane tank cover using a 2 foot length of 3/4" PVC and some pipe straps. Best of all, it keeps our batteries charged and shuts off automatically when they are topped off....saving us the need to try to charge or have to replace old, dead batteries following the winter here in Northern Ohio.

I bought a ghost gate opener with a solar panel but I lost it in our move, so I purchased this one. Well made, lightweight, came with a nice bracket. Been using for 3 months and it works great with the ghost controller. I recommend this product.

This is the most advanced solar panel I've ever bought. Actually on the back of this solar panel is an indicator light that tells you if your battery is charging, if you have polarity reversed, when panel is active, and a built in regulator to keep you from over charging battery. It also comes with 3 different wiring harnesses that should cover most systems. I'm impressed. And the price is a third of the original. And it comes with a sturdy bracket for mounting to a fence or post. Don't let wingnuts push against back of panel when you tighten up. Yes, you can use this panel on a system that already has a charging regulator.

Unfortunately, I am the typical installer. I didn’t read the directions thought we could install it just by looking at it. Turns out we were wrong.It says in plain letters do not hook up directly to a circuit board. Which is what we did in the solar panel would not keep the batteries charged. So upon contacting customer service they asked a few questions, and after reviewing my answers, they very politely pointed out the problem.Luckily, no damage was done to the solar panel and it’s working just fine now.Thanks for the help Frank

Update 9/29/24I've had this solar panel installed for a year now and it is still working well! I have had no issues with the gate opener functioning!! 🙌I purchased this panel after it seemed my two current panels were no longer working. Unsure if the problem was the actual panels (they are old) or the communication thru my mighty mule gate opener, I decided to purchase this panel. I connected the new panel DIRECTLY to my lawn and garden battery that is utilized for the Gate opener. So far, so good! I have had it installed for a few months and it seems to be working well. The lights on the panel are very convenient, now I am able to see the status of the battery and typically, it is always green at a full charge! 😊

Foolishly, I bought four of these. They are absolute garbage! Totally worthless. In full sunlight the total output is 0 volts DC. That's right... Absolutely ZERO voltage output in FULL sunlight. And I tested them all. A complete and total waste of money. And, of course, the return window has closed.Don't waste your time or money. I am sick and tired of all this garbage from China! Total junk!
