Boat stand needs gripping material on it (the boat slides right off if the surface is not even). Only extra part is a motor blade. No extra turn fins or rudders. Hopefully these never break but they are thin plastic pieces. No storage case to protect the boat when not in use.Reverse did not work on the first boat we tried. Amazon exchange it for us. We tried the new boat out in a creek. Reverse worked on the second boat. Reverse is a lot slower than going forwards. It performed tighter turns one way than the other. We noticed the boat wanted to list to one side. It’s the side the battery is on so I think it is just a weight distribution issue. We saw this with the first boat also. A second battery can be fastened into the boat either in the hull or in the cover to even out weight distribution. Everything else was stated in the original review. A copy is below.ORIGINAL REVIEW was a 4 STARI took this boat to a lake to test it. It was so much fun. It paired perfectly upon starting it. It turned better to the right then it did to the left but still performed really well. It is very fast also. On the negative side I could not get the boat to go in reverse. It seemed like it was trying to back up only because it turned less in the water than when we did nothing. It was a little windy the day we took it to the lake. We did not stay long. The boat is better suited as advertised for calm water days. I let my husband and child try steering the boat as well. My child is 10yrs old and had no trouble. I would love to see a few upgrades though. 1. I would love an easier way to oil the drive shaft on it every 3-1/2hrs of use. 2. I would also love a thin rubber seal where the cover fits on the boat. It gets water in it too easy. 3. A hard case to transport this in would be a great bonus to add. I do love the fact that this was great family fun. Everyone enjoyed steering it and watching it skim across the water. It was an activity we could all connect with. Eventually it would be great to buy one for each of us so we could drive at the same time when money allows. I definitely would recommend this item.

This boat is great. My 4-year-old grandson loves to use it in the ponds by the house. He quickly figured out the throttle vs steering on the control and keeps it from beaching on the opposite shore now (whew!) Very durable, and does a decent job in weedy areas. Very fast, and even at full throttle most of the time, the batteries last quite a while. Great that there are two batteries included, so we can swap them out quickly and get back to chasing alligators. Instructions for battery installation were not right in my package, but once I saw spot in back of boat where it goes it was easy to figure out how to flip it in - no velcro anymore I guess. After about a dozen trips to the pond, this boat remains my little man's favorite after school toy!

My kid loves it so much! It pretty fast and easy to managed. But I have just one issue battery drain very quickly.

These boats are pretty awesome. I was skeptical, I’ve had a lot of RC toys in my life both battery and fuel based, and when I saw the $50ish price tag I was hesitant to believe it would work out as well as it did.To be perfectly blunt, everything worked as advertised. Batteries last 15-20 minutes per charge. It was easy enough my son could learn how to operate it as well as my wife. I bought 2 and they each synced up to the remotes as expected with powering one on, letting it connect to a remote, wait for a minute and then do the other boat.We were up and running and racing in the pool in not time. These boats are pretty darn fast as well. It took some work for my son to get the hang of the throttle but he’s only 6.I’m actually surprised with how well they stood up to abuse as well. As expected, the boy hit quite a few walls and there’s only minor cosmetic damage.The boy truly does self right as well, but it definitely is worth making sure all water is emptied out after playing to avoid corrosion.I would definitely buy these again, the next step is taking them to the lake for some real action.

The media could not be loaded.  This thing is very quick and nimble. It looks really nice from a design standpoint, and the controls are very intuitive. Easy to set up, just install the battery and go! The inside of the boat body did get wet, which was concerning, but it didn't seem to affect the boat, so maybe the internals are waterproofed? All in all, for under $50, this is a fun little toy!Very important to note is that you have to be sure you don't let the cables get in the way of the steering mechanism inside the boat body. I imporperly installed the battery/cable and the boat would only turn one way. I fixed it and now it does turn both ways (although it always turns much sharper one direction than the other, and I don't know why that is).Also, the velcro that holds the battery in place inside the boat almost immediately lost it's adhesive because of the water getting into the boat. they should really use a more secure way to hold the battery inside, and I wish it really was water-proof inside the boat. I don't know how long it will last with pool water getting inside. Will update.

We purchased this boat for our ten year old son to play with at the pool, river and coast. The boat is fast in the water, handles very well using the remote and is small enough to take everywhere. For this price it’s worth buying two to race them against one one another. Going to buy a couple more as gifts for his friends.

Bought two of these boats for Christmas. On a positive note, they are easy to use and the batteries last a good amount of time, plus it comes with two batteries, which really extends the play time. Boats are nice and fast in a straight line.The three stars is due to poor steering for both boats. They turn in one direction great, but barely turn at all in the opposite direction. Tried playing with the trim and other surfaces on the boats, but no luck. That got old quickly, so I'll be returning both boats today.
