I have in the past paid double what I paid here for a variable light magnifying glass for doing embroidery, and pillow lace; I was absolutely amazed at the quality of not only the structure of this lamp but the light itself. Being able to vary the degree and colour (white or warm) light was great and the magnification was really clear. My son does a lot of miniature model making which involves putting together very tiny pieces and painting them. He saw how good this was and promptly ordered one for himself. He finds the angles that the magnifying head can be put in have made assembling and painting so much easier and agrees with me that the amount of variation you can achieve with the light is brilliant. Can't praise this lamp enough and all this for such a good price too.

As a middle-aged male I was struggling with sewing and mending in low light and needed something with a brighter more focused light.My days in the military made me self-sufficient enough to mend the odd split or tear and my wife doesn't have the patience or dexterity to do this herself.So mending my boys clothes is so much simpler now, no more straining my eyes to see in the bad light or trying to see the fine detail.Easy to install, was up and running and mending in no time.The light can be turned on or off, with different shade of light as well as dimming or brightening the intensity.I should've acquired one years ago and my 2 boisterous teens have now forced me to take action.And with the spring-loaded elbow/arm it's easy enough to pull close or push it out of the way until next time.

I use this lamp for jewellery making and it is permanently fixed to my workbench. It's bright, clear and does exactly what I want it to do. However I would say that it's sometime difficult to get it into a good position because of the angle of the joints and the swivel on the head - it's never quite where I want it to be. But it's very good value for money and I'd definitely recommend if you're looking for a halfway decent desktop magnifier.

I’m really chuffed with this. I could tell taking it out of the box that it was well-made and with good quality materials.The 10 times magnifier is good; I certainly wouldn't want any less than this for painting/small detail work.It was extremely easy to put together. I was slightly concerned, after reading another review, that it wouldn't move in all the directions I needed it to, but that has not proved to be the case. There are enough movable joints to get it wherever I need it to be.I assumed that the LED could be charged and used without the plug, but this was my mistake. Not a problem as long as you are close to a plug socket or have an extension cord!I went for the 37 cm model in white. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this, especially in comparison to other prices on Amazon.

I purchased this to help with my knitting as my eyes are not as good as they used to be. After reading someone else’s review I decided to purchase. Very good price and it’s just the job. I recommend this product.
