Scosche MGQVP-XTET MagicGrip FreeFlow Autogrip Wireless Charging Vent Phone Mount for Car in Black

I've been looking for a decent mount for my iPhone 12 Pro Max and have been searching for some time. I'm always a little hesitant to buy products I've never heard of but saw a lot of good reviews not his ne. It work great with my phone, the arms open up as soon as I turn on my car and as soon as it senses my phone, it clamps down. The arm is pretty sturdy too, not a lot of movement when driving. it's. a little stiff to adjust but that's way better then it flopping around all over the place while your driving down the road. If you have a case on your phone, you should be fine with this mount as long as you case works with wireless charging. I've got the Otterbox Defender Series-XT on mine and it works without issue.

Best mounting for my phone that I have found so far. Holds the phone nicely and, more important, ease to get the phone on. Like all car phone mounts it can be difficult and may very with the car. In my case (Lexus RX35) I mounted downward compared with what the manufacture typically shows. This allowed for the pressure to be balanced and not pull the holder off the vent. Also make sure that the vent holder is tight. After that and over months, I have not had to adjust the system.

So let me get the good out of the way because there's only one thing good about it and that it charges through a case. That being said though my phone often drains faster than it could charge so that's a mute point. Additionally, it doesn't hold my phone. Slips/ slides down until it falls or you catch in time to readjust it. I don't know about you but I don't want to constantly be doing that. Another thing is the grips are to small to grab onto the air vents. I'm also in a Prius and my air vent are vertical and the circle part gets in the way on lat hing onto the air vent

I searched high and low for a phone mount that charges, attaches to the vent but doesn't block the air. This is one of the only ones I could find! (All the others used suction which required putting an adhesive pad on your dash.) It works exactly as I had hoped. The width of the mount that goes on the vent is 2" wide. AFTER 9 MONTHS: Everything still works great. I'm so happy air doesn't get redirected into someone's face like all the other mounts out there. The mounting is getting a little soft, but this has a 3 year warranty. Be aware that if you want to put this on a vent that has the little slider in the middle fin, this might not always fit.

The Device was a great idea and the fast charging was excellent. Unfortunately the ball joint gave out after 3 days. Now it can't support the phone and it just limps down. If it was sturdier I could recommend but because of its lack of integrity definitely a purchase I regret.

I have an iPhone 14Pro and got this to replace my current car charging arrangement which holds the phone to the dash with MagSafe alone. It works well but I'm in Detroit where potholes reign supreme. Every time I hit one the phone goes flying to some random corner of a car. This seemed like a reasonable, flexible solution to the problem but it didn't work out. The first problem is that Scosche REQUIRES you to use their single port lighter adapter which is a deal killer for me. I have chargers for multiple devices in the car as well as the need to power a camera system. The second issue is that I received a slightly different product than what I was expecting. The part of the vent mount that's meant to clamp onto the vents' fins seems to just push on? There is no way to tighten or loosen it as depicted. It may have been fine. Just thought I should mention it as it was unexpected. The third issue (also a deal killer for me) was the charge rate. I didn't need it to be as fast as Apple's charger or anything but noted 10 minutes on this Scosche charger only added 2% to the battery. I tried this 3 times, removing the phone from the charger completely each time to account for possible misalignment of the charging element but no luck. The best I got out of it was 3% over 10 minutes which is objectively useless. I get a better rate out of a MagSafe if I'm using the phone heavily while it's charging (which I wasn't when I tested this charger). The last issue was with alignment. I expected there to be a magnet inside the charging head that would both provide some of the hold and guarantee uniform placement. This isn't the case! In fact, the phone placement after the mount grabs the phone is bad enough that the phone doesn't charge a good percentage of the time, forcing you to remove the phone and try again. In another odd factoid, the charging base seemed to overlap the camera sometimes. This prevented the phone from sitting flush against the surface of the charging head. Again, this didn't happen every time but enough to were it's clear that alignment is a problem with this product. Your results may vary with different phones and configurations but I'm returning it. I cannot even exaggerate how much I love this phone holder. I’ve been using this brand since last summer and it’s never failed to disappoint. It charges (a bit slow, but works well), has amazing suction power, adjusts to the size of your phone without taking your attention off the road. Amazing overall. Has never ever fallen off the vent mount. I crashed my car back in April and even with my broken nails, rear view mirror falling off, cushions busted, and 16 airbags deployed, this device was the single thing that was still in its place, in good peace.

Everyone in the family got one for Christmas! A great product! It takes the phone from your hand, displays the screen at any angle, and it charges it wirelessly! I’ve had one for months; now everyone else does too! When I show it to people they say, “I gotta’ get one of those!”

I've been a fan of Scosche mounts and chargers for years and have been using them since the first Pixel XL. Sadly with the latest Pixel 7 Pro the phone is too big and heavy for this mount and will sag after the first big bump. I bought this particular mount as an update over the previous model which does not have a way of securing the vent anchor so any chicanes will have your mount and phone swinging about which will distract you while driving along in with any other large movements. This new one does have a screw down anchor which is a nice update but the stabilising ring around it does nothing at all especially in the side to side motion. The ball joint needs to be stiffer in order to take larger and heavier phones, as it is this device is perfect for my old Pixel 5 but can't handle the bigger - Pro/Max/Ultra models but at the price they're asking it's too much and there's better and cheaper models available.

At first I was skeptical about this phone mount, and how well it would operate with the auto mount/unmount. I have now had this product for over three months, and I attach and detach my phone dozens of times a day from it. It works flawlessly, and the fact I can quickly mount and unmount my phone is great, the induction charging is great. The overall quality is great! I have no complaints!

This product is great but be aware that it will not work with phone that don't charge wireless since it will not detect the presence of the phone and it will not grip it.

Arrived in a box that had previously been opened. The charger had been removed from the box and placed back in the box upside down. The snapped off piece with also in the box. The charger was ill fitted in the box and sealed with packing tape. Then for some bizarre reason, was shipped to me as a new product. I have returned it and ordered a replacement. Let's see if CEDirect will send me a new sealed unit. Edit: they did send me a replacement unit that I have now used for quite some time. Excellent bit of kit. Changing from one star to 4 stars.
