A gift for my son to store his special chef knives. He was delighted. Looks like an art instillation. Good weight and an effective magnet to hold the knives.

The magnets are really strong and the block itself is a brilliant size it can hold up to 6 knives on each side. Highly recommended

Sewing machine style and almost sewing machine sized!Good grip from the magnets but really rather thick given that you can attach knives on both sides. Overall a bit too large unless you have a lot of knives and want to display them all.Got on a discount which would have made it good value but the base plate, whilst decently wide, was not attached snugly so it quite disconcertingly wobbly to detach a knife without holding on to it.Returned for refund.

The design is fine but unfortunately the wood they use is very cheap both feels and looks wise. The magnet strip is only in the middle of the wood block in a thing rectangle that stretches across the knife stand meaning that big knives(7"+) have no issues holding on but the smaller ones really struggle and only a few hold. Way too expensive for the product,customer support isn't responding either.

Just got this knife holder and already it's better than blocks and magnets I've had in the past. The magnet is strong enough to hold my biggest knives, even the steel and my shears, unlike wall-mounted magnets I've had in the past. It doesn't scratch the blades like the block I had before this one. It's heavy enough that it doesn't move when I remove the knives. I only wish the magnet in the smaller end was stronger as it doesn't hold some knives, but it works for my paring and boning knives. Overall this is the best knife storage solution I've found after going through at least 3 previous types over the years.

I'm still making up my mind whether this is the best way to store knives, but that doesn't reflect on the quality of this product. Strong magnet holds even my 10" chef's knife. Both sides are usable so it will hold quite a few knives. I even store my kitchen shears on it.

This is a nice block but I do find that some of my knives are not totally magnetized as they should be.I feel the magnetic area works well in the center but not so much around the sides. This is a great block but IMO your larger knives could be an issue if you have many. Great for medium and smaller knives.
