Fantastic vest, very happy.
This is my first running vest and I am very happy with it.The two mesh pockets at the front are easily accessed from above or the side, good for storing quick access items like gels etc. They are stretchy and hold things nicely in place. The zipped pocket is good for a phone, fits my Samsung S10 easily. Again, the pocket is stretchy and holds the phone in place.Ive not yet used the two water bottles that come with it as I bought a 1.5l resevoir for the back pocket. I can't see any problems with the bottles and will probably use them for a very long run someday. The resevoir fits nicely into the back compartment, secured by a special tie. Sucking the air out of ut reduces any sloshing and after a few chugs I don't even notice it on my back. The vest does have an elastic tie for the tubing at the front, but it could do with one up top too as it seems to rub against my neck. I'm going to sew one in myself. The vest is well made and feels very secure. It's very light and I bought small with a 35in chest and 30in waist, it's comfortable and fits me nice and snug without feeling constrictive. The drawstring at the front is great, it seems well balanced and secures the vest well.At first the front likes to ride up a little, that is partially due to the reservoir at the back and the fact that I don't tie the front up tight. I'm going to experiment by tightening the draw string. After a while it doesn't ride up so I think this is down to the front/back weight imbalance.

Very Comfortable
I have only worn this once so far on a 10 mile run. It’s very comfortable to wear and you can alter the tightness of the chord to suit you and prevent the jacket from bouncing up and down. There’s also room in the large back pocket to stow a lightweight waterproof jacket plus smaller pockets in the front to store small snacks etc. The two soft bottles included have no hard edges and are fine but I did find that my ribs were a bit sore after the run. I put this down to the same effect as riding a bike for the first time and I’m sure that I will toughen up in time! I would definitely recommend this jacket.07/10/2024 UPDATE: Wore it yesterday for a 15 mile XC run and no problems at all. I put slightly less water in the bottles and didn't fasten the jacket so tight. Really comfortable.

Very Comfortable and We'll Made
Bought this to use for a marathon. Very comfortable. Easy to use. My first and only use was running 26.2 mile's on a hot day around 22°.Was very comfy, adjustable to your body nicely and can be pulled in tight across the chest and the sack can also be closed in to secure the items so they don't rattle around. Plenty of stash pockets to put gels in or the empty wrappers. Also takes a bladder but beware that if using on a hot day the liquid in the bladder will heat up from your back. The chest bottles are good. You can buy alternative designs too. I bought the straws to use with them to make sippimg easier.Be mindful on sizing. I ordered a Medium to begin with based on size chart I found on Amazon. I'm a 40 inch chest. Had to go for a large in the end which cost me to return the first pack.Overall though, very well made, fits very well, very comfortable and good for on or off road runs based on how secure the fit is. No complaints in terms of functionality, did what I needed it to do.Only downside is price, 'quite' expensive I suppose but I expect it to last so gave 4/5 on the value scale.

Perfect for winter running
I bought this for a friend, I already own the Salomon Adv Skin but that's double the price. Although they're similar volumes it is distributed differently and this one feels smaller in volume because of it. However, for a vest that's half the price that's not an issue. This 4L would be too small for a ultra marathon whereas I can fit my kit list in the Adv Skin.If you were using this vest with a bladder you wouldn't be left much space in the main body of the bag for anything else. I had however used bladders for ages, I never intended to use the included flasks but they're much easy to fill and keep clean and fill up mid run if needed and I haven't used a bladder since.I think this vest is very good quality for the money and very comfortable with lots of adjustment around the chest for women which others don't offer for this budget. The bungee is easy to adjust mid run too if you need to take kit out or put kit back in so no unnecessary faff.As for the bottles tasting funny, it's like any plastic bottle initially. I left mine to soak in washing up liquid for a bit, gave them a good clean and I've had no issues.

Forgiving fit but get it right
Light weight and super comfy running vest. I am using x2 250ml Salomon soft water bottles with it as 500ml that it is designed for is a little heavy for me for most sub 10km runs.Good:1) Light weight and comfortable. 180cm/85kg and wearing a size L2) Can fit 250 or 500ml Salomon water bottles in front pockets and they don’t bounce around.3) Good pockets for headphone cases and small items below the water bottle pocket which has a zip (left side only).Bad1) 500ml water bottles are a snug fit and are a pain to fit into the front pockets. No chance if you pull them out during a run unless you stop.2) personally I felt I needed to get the straw for easy bottle access during the run - which are too long and don’t work well with this. Without the straws 250ml is a bit fiddly and 500ml is only better when the bottles are relatively full.3) the back pocket/pouch can fit a gillet or light weight top but the running vest can get very sweaty so beware.

Saloman Vest
Amazing and well worth the money. Wears comfortably, you hardly know your wearing it and allows you to carry everything you need whilst running

I wish I bought it first time!!
Doesn't jiggle, the water pouches don't leak at all, they have an air valve wherein you have to bite the spout to drink. I used a water bladder before and I swallowed a lot of air before getting into the water! The bag has loads of pockets, and some mesh pockets too where I can fit my running light. Very well made, high quality, and looks cool!
