Purchased to upgrade an older (5 years) Laptop that has an upper RAM limit of 16gb, came with 8. Recognized immediately. Ran a few memtest's including Memtest86+, everything was good, no errors. Matched expected capacity, speed etc. Well oackaged, standard plastic holders. No problems, buy with confidence.

Las memorias Crucial tienen muy buena calidad, pero en mi caso no funcionaron correctamente con mi Acer Predator porque la velocidad que soporta mi PC es menor a la de estas memorias, así que fue más una mala decisión de mi parte. El sistema se colgaba durante el trabajo, pero el proceso de devolución fue muy eficiente. Este año ya conseguí unas que sí fueron 100% compatibles y funcionan perfecto.

I didn’t want to pay for the inflated RAM prices directly from Dell when I first ordered my XPS. I waited about a year and almost always use a crucial for RAM when it comes to regular use laptops. Other than Dell being dumb and using Torx screws, the RAM itself worked great. Not taking stars off for Dell’s PITA design. Computer booted, pricier me of a RAM change and then loaded into Linux Kubuntu. Everything read correctly and tests show it works as advertised in the specs.

So, it's story time, so let me set the scene: I work for an accountant's office, it's the middle of tax season, and our office computers are running slower than a sloth in the middle of summer. I made the observation that we need more RAM and got the go-ahead from the CPA to make our lives easier. So, off to The Amazon I went... luckily it was online and the computer could easily pull it up. Disaster struck soon after, however. I knew what we needed and I picked the best deal quickly. Too quickly. Instead of the desktop RAM, I accidentally picked the laptop version of what I needed. Unfortunately, I wouldn't figure this out until three days later when it arrived in the mail. I am not ashamed to admit that I panicked a little, but I shouldn't have and this story has a happy ending. The Customer Service team here is top notch: quick to reply and easy to work with for a solution. Within a week I got the right RAM and a happy boss. I will definitely order from here again. I installed 16GB (2x 8GB) to upgrade from 8GB (2x 4GB) in a 27" Mac. The install was a little fussier than you might be led to believe. On my machine, the button that you have to push to release the door had to be pushed down farther than I could manage with just a fingertip. A good eraser on the end of a pencil works. Then, when I extracted the first 4GB module, I tried to orient the position of the new Crucial module based on the appearence of the Apple module. But the little groove at the base did not line up correctly. So that is what you must focus on. A good light helps. I used my iPhone's built-in flashlight. Finally, popping the door back in place was not as simple as you would think. A lot of pressure is required. And you must be sure that the little levers inside the memory compartment are well stowed back in their original position. Yes, all of this is "simple" but fussy. I'm not faulting the design. It just requires a lot of care to not screw it up. As "simple" as it is to do, it's also simple to screw up.
