Adjust easily and handy cleanouts
I saw this when I was looking for traps to replace the clogged trap that was installed correctly but had no access for any type of clean out or maintenance. Consequently I'd been using a 5 gallon bucket to catch the condensation until I got everything I needed to replace it. Not something I would recommend but it worked in a pinch and it gave me a new appreciation for how much moisture the air handler or the condenser or whatever takes out of the air every 24 hours. It's been very humid here the last few days and I'd been emptying the bucket once a day with about three or four gallons of water in it. Anyway, this Rectorseal trap was just what I needed as I had to retrofit it in between the two lines. It's adjustable of course until you permanently glue it in place so it was very easy to fit to both sides that were stationary. Of course I have some plumbing experience but even if you don't if you take your time it's easy to fit and the added plus is you have the many different cleanouts. If you look in the photo you can see that I've added two rubbers slip joints that can also be removed so the entire assembly can come out for future cleaning. I've decided that the best bet is to do maintenance on it once a year and make sure the lines are clear so that condensation can flow out. If you forget about it it will build up and eventually start to form clogs which will make the condensation back up and you'll have quite a mess. This seems to be working quite well so far after a day or two with no leaks and a good water flow out of the house. I definitely recommend this particular trap if you want a way to clean out and maintain your condensation line.

Simple, Reliable Condensate Trap That Works as Designed
a great productโeasy to install, solid build, and most importantly, no leaks. It fits perfectly on a 3/4-inch condensate line and does exactly what itโs supposed to. The clear design also makes it easy to check for clogs or buildup. Definitely worth the money for a reliable and maintenance-friendly trap.

Love this product.
This product is outstanding. I fully recommend the product. I do want to point out that you need to glue each piece together before running water through the pipes.

Install On Condensate Drain
The HVAC installer did not place on my AC drain line to a condensate pump. I believe code now requires them in may places. The only quibble I have is that I wish they had unions on each end versus glue fits. I wound up buying the PVC fittings to allow removal and reinstallation if needed. They sell a brush for cleaning which is useful.

Reliable attic air handler water and air control trap.
Installed two of these traps over a year ago on our 5 ton aircon attic air handler. Functioning as expected, control air and water flow as the aircon cycles off and on 24/7 Late March to Late September here in deep South Texas. Working really well as we rotate into Summer 2020. Working well/correct installation means I can almost forget about the aircon except for regular maintenance. No more water dripping into the house below. (Very) Easy to clean - a 20 minute job...โฆ.. using the optional brush, or purchase a good one from local building supply store. Solved a serious air and water problem from incorrect trap installation by local not so expert installation contractor. Improvement? Yes, I would have liked to see (and purchase) a thicker walled unit for added service life.

Perfect
I've had the AC technicians to my house so many times to figure out why the AC water drain was backing up. They'd tell me the plumbing didn't have enough of a gradient to it and that was they problem. So I had the plumbing redone. It still didn't stop the AC water overflows, which result in the AC shutting off. After opening the pipes myself I realized there was a very strong suction back towards the AC unit. This was strong enough to suck the water back into the unit that should have been draining. (To be fair, that might have not happened with a steeper slope on the drain pipes.) They might have been partial right, but after some research I found out about this device. The U shape filled with water is enough to stop the suction from pulling water back into the AC unit. The full water in the U curve stops the air inflow. Then as water trickles in gravity takes over and it drips out the drain pipe. Ingenious device. Easy to install. I can't believe professional AC technicians from 2 different companies didn't know to put one of these in. They sell a version of these at hardware stores, but this one is much better. Easier to work with. The fact that it is clear and has valves you can open means you can see if it is clogging up and easily open it for cleaning. Get this one. I don't think I'll have to touch the AC unit again.

Easy install and works
Why did you pick this product vs others?: Easy installation and works just fine. Not much it can do to stand in the w ay of physics if its installed properly.

Great design, easy to install
This is a great design. The installers for my furnace used a solid PVC trap that was all glued together and was impossible to clean. It clogged up with dust and gunk and I had to cut it off and replace it after my condensate pan overflowed. This is a very good solution to replace that, as it allow you to easily inspect the drain and clean it out with a brush (not included). I've included a photo of my install. It glues together easily with PVC cement and standard 3/4" PVC fittings. I used purple PVC primer as well, but it was not really necessary since this isn't a pressurized application. Overall I'm very satisfied with the product.

Make sure you have enough depth between the bottom of the inlet and the bottom of the outlet pipe.
I like this P-trap as you can see any dirt that is in the bottom as it is clear tubing. Then remove the caps and clean it out. For my heat pump air handler I had to add a short piece of pipe to the taller section as it needed a 3" drop between the inlet and outlet pipes because of the negative pressure developed in the air handler during operation, otherwise that negative pressure would suck air back it to and not drain properly. I also bought a second one for my Vanee HRV. It worked as it came.

Just what i needed
I realized recently, that my hvac drain tube had no p-trap inline, and so i got this kit. Went on well, I glued the ends of the "U" pipe. Works well and makes it easy to clean line.

Useful product, with adjustment
Needs some adjustment if AC system is negative pressure: additional pipe added to the left side to create a deeper trap . Otherwise, like the clear bottom and the caps... works fine, easy to clean. Glad I bought it as my plumber did not have one and I was able to provide this one to get the result I wanted.
