Regal TipRE-005E-N 5A E-Series Narrow Neck Nylon Patented E-Tip US Hickory-Single Pair

I play mostly Jazz and experiment a lot. That includes sticks and other implements. I have an open mind about textures, weights, lengths, materials- anything to get that sound and feel that I want. I somehow though, keep coming back to these. I am currently into the 5A feel, and seem to like the balance that Regal tip provides for me. I also have been into the Jazz model lately. This is all subjective of course. What is certainly of interest though is the tip on the 'E' model. I like that "woody" old Jazz sound and mostly ride on the Zildjian Adam Nussbaum Renaissance 22", as well as a flat ride. That'll give the Jazz drumming buff an idea of where I live right now. This tip provides life and yet a very comparable sound to wood sticks, even though it is nylon. Compared to their 'traditional' nylon tips, it comes off as far less bright. There are a lot of good sticks out there, but the nylon last longer for me. So, 'my' balance, sound, and longevity add up. Just got these for a great sale price too. By the way, these are sometimes hard to find in stores, even though I live in the greater NY area. If you like the 5A nylon tipped feel and would like a more wood-like sound, I can recommend these highly.
