Delivered in a clean cotton drawstring sack.
Wonderful lentils. The red lentils are harder for me to find at the grocery lately. These are fresh and clean. Yes, still wash and sort. I like the soup recipe at love & lemons. I use the veg jar bullion and spike seasoning plus whatever I have. May try some other red lentil recipes as they cook quickly but not tasty all by themselves like rice. Use in a recipe. These are worth it

They're worth the cost to avoid glyphosate & rebuild the gut.
Top Tier Lentils, great for making all sorts of things, from South Indian Curries to Jamaican Coconut Lentil Curry to making Ezekiel style breads and all sorts of other things. These lentils taste phenomenal, Hell, with the right tricks, you can use these in keto recipes and get great benefits from them. The trick is to presoak them in a pinch of baking soda or potassium bicarbonate per quart of water until they're covered by at least 2 inches, that removes the saponins, flatulence inducing starches, and catalyzes the breakdown of the lectins legumes all have, then either pressure cook or boil them really hard on high heat for 30 minutes before you actually season and cook them. The aquafaba is great to use for other things as well. The cook time is about the same as any other red lentil. They work the same level of ease as any other lentil, but they taste phenomenal, they're worth the purchase for avoiding glyphosate and its residues. They're what you expect in freshness of dried legumes, which is a plus as well.

Family run business the old fashioned way!
Very impressed with this family run business! High- quality product, delivered to my door in two days, domestically raised product, and they care enough to package their lentils in a reusable cloth bag not plastic. Highly recommend.

Excellent.
Excellent quality and fresh. Bright color, clean. Glycosate free. Itโs hard to find that in legumes. Glycosate aka round up is used in many dried grains and cereals, etc.. Probably not a whole lot parts per billion, but it causes cancer, among other health issues over time. I know I canโt eliminate harmful chemicals from my diet, but I can reduce them. This brand is the only brand I buy my legumes from. Iโve bought different dried lentils and peas for Clear Creek several times. Thereโs never been any rocks, or bugs in them. Iโve bought legumes from health food store bulk bins to find weevils in my cabinets wereks later. Not with Clear Creek. I always have left over lentils from this brand for months at times. The resealable package is air tight, and no sign of bugs or spoilage. All I have to do is wash them good in a strainer, and cook them up. I use lentils mostly in soups. Check out their Beluga black lentils. Those are amazing. I combine black and red lentils in curry soups. The black lentils hold their shape, while the red lentils get creamy. Gives an extra nutty flavor. So so good.

FOOD SAFETY???
The lentils were great. Cooked up nice and tender and they have a great flavor. But I am really concerned about how they're shipping them. It's in a loosely woven burlap sack. That's it. Mice, rats and bugs are just a part of food shipping and warehouse life. To risk contamination by not sealing any food in a moisture proof/airtight container or bag in 2026 is insane. Moisture can get in and cause mold growth and contamination from rat droppings is a real risk. (Lepto and Haunta virus anyone?) So these food shipping bags are a bit scary to me. I personally wouldn't feed them to kids for sure. High ideals are wonderful until they meet reality.

Great Product Great Company
Some of the best red lentils Iโve ever eaten . Multi use lentils of the highest quality. Low chemical certified and they come from an outstanding family farm . They are a great value and come in a beautiful muslin bag like from the olden days .. I love it !!! I would support a family owned farm in a heartbeat over big food and big grocery . I highly highly recommend these lentils . They are quality tasty and virtually perfect

Excellent Product!
With the distressful circumstances we find ourselves facing with a rather corrupt food industry..it is reassuring to know that we can still choose companies that have remained honest and faithful to provide quality food, free of poisonous toxins, and are readily available to us.

Good red lentils
Pretty good red lentils flavor wise, would have given five stars is the bag wasn't garbage as in difficult to open and rips easily. Everytime I buy these I end up having to transfer to another storage container and that bothers me. Also the seal post- opening isn't tight enough to keep out bugs.
