Fairy and Fantasy Grayscale Coloring Book

I will start by telling you that I have dozens of coloring books and literally hundreds of colored pencils. I love coloring--it's relaxing, escapist, and creative. I have also tried nearly every type of coloring book Amazon offers involving fairies.That said, this one is EASILY my absolute favorite. It's not even close. And it's not that I haven't had several that I enjoyed--this one is just that much better. I. LOVED. IT. This book is so well done and so much fun, that I finished it faster than I've ever finished any other one--one week.If you're on the fence at all about this purchase, just get it. I promise you will not regret it. Look at the pics (I've attached several)--they're BEAUTIFUL. The only thing I would change would be to make the backs of the pages black, but that's just my personal preference--it didn't necessarily need it.I just ordered another from this author/artist. I can't wait. Her work is truly fabulous. It's everything I look for in a coloring book: realistic pics without being creepy, not too many busy details, shading that isn't overwhelming and helps you know where to add it.Order it--you will be hooked!

Love everything about this artist's books. I love her art and have all of her books. Grayscale coloring is my favorite, but so many books don't get it right (i.e., poor quality paper, blurred edges on art, etc.), but both the art and paper/print are super high quality, yielding exquisite outcomes. I use primarily Prismacolor Pencils but also blend in colors from Crayola Pencils. Please keep making art and grayscale coloring books, Ms. Karon! I've posted one from this book that I just started to show how blendable the Pencils are on this paper (I also use a tiny bit of Vaseline to aid in blending). I show the final product as well.

All 4 of these fantasy and fairy books along with the wildflower folk are TOP NOTCH all the way around!! You won’t be disappointed!! The images and paper are AMAZING! My favorite books and I’ve got over 100 coloring books with different artists!!

I love this artist and have followed her since starting my coloring journey. Her greyscale is perfect for learning where to shade and highlight. The artwork is gorgeous and she has a large variety of portrait subjects, from fairies to fanciful creations. The paper is superb, ideal for alcohol markers and colored pencils, on single sided sheets to prevent bleed through. Highly recommended!

The reason for the 4 stars is simply the quality of the paper. I’d lower it to a 3, but don’t want to hurt the actual artist book quality. Its very thin, NO tooth, so as you can see, I purchased 67lb Neenah vellum paper and had the book copied and bound in spiral binding, for ease of coloring. The quality of the artist is definately a 10. The greyscale is really lovely, and allows you to see shadows easier, and try your hand at shading. I WILL purchase more of Ms. Karron’s books in future, as they are very ethereal, and quite lovely to practice on.

I read a lot of concerning reviews regarding the paper quality in this book. I personally, had no issues with the paper and found it very suitable. It’s not too thick or too thin. It was durable while blending (I use prisma colored pencils) never became thin and receding while rubbing and blending. You couldn’t see the lines or colored pencil markings on the back of the page when finished. The images are visually stunning and creative. I definitely feel that the book is well worth the price. Similar books would sell for about 20$ in my local bookstores. I’m gonna purchase as many of these as possible!!

Beautiful pages

I was hesitant about buying another fairy coloring book as the last couple were not fantastic... but im glad I went ahead and bought this one !! The images are beautiful and the paper is awesome!! I've already started coloring in it because I could not wait to get it started the day I got it. Greyscale images are fantastic because you have the shading already laid out for you and it makes the images look all that much better.If yoire thinking about getting this one. Do it.It's great! !

Every picture is beautiful. The paper is good quality, meaning both water pencils and alchahol markers can be used (with a piece of paper behind it to ensure no bleeding). This is my favourite colouring book, and the first one I am likely to completely finish.
